  3. former player...happy for Coach Embick
  4. Congratulations to Coach Embick for his 100th win as the zips head coach.
  5. Diogo Pacheco was very good during his time on the field. Definitely man of the match what a scrum......on their near goal.... crossbar was the zips friend tonight David Egbo really worked hard on defense. However, the zips need to figure out a way for David to get the ball more in their half of the field Also, the refereeing for the match was awful. Zips were called 22 fouls vs. 9 for the home team
  6. This is an article from Atlanta paper https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-united-reportedly-trading-nagbe-columbus/e6YdHy4d8JfOUeQwpAOxGK/
  7. West Virginia is a team that has had their season destroyed by injuries At the beginning of the season, they played to a 0-0 tie with a very good Charlotte team. In the MAC season, they have been forced to play without their 2 best players WVA is 6-7-2 overall and is 0-3-1 in the MAC opened their season with a 1-0 OT win at Monmouth 2nd game was 1-0 OT loss at Delaware 2-1 home win over Wright State 0-0 result at home with #12 (at the time) Charlotte 5-2 home win over then #15 ranked Coastal Carolina 2-1 win OT win at Cincinnati at that point of the season, WVA was 4-1-1 (since then they have gone 2-6-1) 2-0 home loss to Dayton 4-1 win....thrashing Ohio State in Columbus 3-0 home win over Penn that is their last win of the year....they have gone 0-5-1 in their last 6 games 4-1 loss at home to then #25 ranked San Diego (useless trivia...here...San Diego head coach is the father of Aodhan Quinn) 3-1 loss on the road to then #18 ranked N. Carolina (UNC has struggled in the ACC...they are 7-7-2 overall and play Syracuse tonight in ACC tourney...if Syracuse wins, UNC will not be in the NCAA tourney) 3-1 home loss to West Virginia 4-2 home loss to Northern Illinois 3-0 loss at Bowling Green 0-0 result at SIU-E after the SIU-E game, the WVA coach had these quotes: "What a performance from our team on the road," WVU coach Marlon LeBlanc said. "We're really, really shorthanded right now, missing arguably the two best players on our team, but our guys fought tooth-and-nail and were the better team for 110 minutes tonight. It's disappointing to not get the goal that we deserved but give SIUE credit for being resilient and defending well. I thought our kids showed up tonight. The resurgence has to start somewhere – this is a good place for it to start." here is what the SIU-E coach had to say about the same game "It was a tough, good college soccer game," SIUE Head Coach Cale Wassermann said. "West Virginia is a quality team. There were some ebbs and flows. I thought we were better in the first half and they were better in the second half. It was pretty even in the overtimes.

  11. https://www.beaconjournal.com/sports/20191102/university-of-akron-mens-soccer-zips-rally-for-3-2-win-over-northern-illinois some excellent quotes from David Egbo in article “It was unbelievable,” Zips coach Jared Embick said. “There were a lot of guts shown. It was trending toward one of those ‘same old story’ where we missed some chances and got scored on in the few chances we give up. “We’ve been talking about this for weeks in dealing with adversity. We knew we could continue to overcome these situations if we play our style. Even if it’s not always what you want as a coach to go down, this is what we needed. We needed to come through. It was an awesome, awesome feeling at the end.”
  12. Ezana Kahsay was watching and cheering
  13. could be a season changing 10 minutes.... this should really give the team a great deal of belief in each other....on what they can accomplish under severe adversity.

  17. https://mlsmultiplex.com/2019/11/01/toronto-fc-vs-atlanta-united-3-things-learned-richie-laryea-x-factor/3/ In my preview of this match, I suggested Richie Laryea should have started on the right-wing in place of Tsubasa Endoh considering the former’s qualities on both sides of the ball. Even though Laryea did not start, he replaced Endoh at half-time, and his performance gave Greg Vanney plenty to ponder ahead of the MLS Cup. Laryea was also solid from a defensive standpoint. He always made sure to track back and provide cover on right flank during defensive transitions, defended the back-post well even though he does not usually excel in the air and put his body on the line when cutting out Ezequiel Barco’s pass to Josef Martinez in stoppage time.
  18. Thank you, Seniors I hope that Skye is healthy enough to get some minutes
