if you want to root for an underdog on the other side of the draw.....root for Lipscomb they had to travel to Washington...then had to travel to Orlando and oh, by the way...their record was 8-9-1 coming into the NCAA tourney http://www.lipscombsports.com/msoccer/news/2018-19/15547/robinson-advances-bisons-with-overtime-winner-at-9-ucf/

the seeding committee really needs to take a hard look at their ACC bias... #4 seed Louisville and #5 seed North Carolina both out in round of 32 #6 Duke has not been impressive against Pacific...Duke seems to be always overrated in the tourney...I would like to see Maryland knock them off next week #7 Notre Dame was lucky to get by a very tired Michigan team and Notre Dame gets rewarded by next facing Virginia and the #16 seed from the ACC with a 7-6-2 record....got dusted today.... seeding committee should be closely examined when a top 16 seed ends the season with a .500 record

Kentucky has had a great year. Kentucky and Indiana both made strong cases today....that they plan to be in Santa Barbara for a 2 seed vs. 3 seed semifinal Big Ten looking strong with Maryland and Indiana already in sweet 16 and Michigan State trying to knock off highly seeded Lollaville Denver was a team that was not in the RPI top 16.....but they got seeded ahead of the zips. Air Force leads Denver 2-0 at halftime.

I wanted to take a minute to give a tremendous amount of credit to Coach Embick and his coaching staff. With 18 new players.....including 2 that had played 3 years for other programs, this had to be one of the most challenging years that Coach Embick has encountered. Without being able to see the match and just by following tweets and live stats, I would have to say that Abdi Mohammed was the MVP today. He scored the first goal and Marcel scored the 2nd goal on a rebound shot after the goalie could not contain Abdi's shot. This coaching staff was using Abdi in the midfield and up front....and they made the decision to move him to right DB. If you look back at the lineups for the first Syracuse game and the BG game right after it, Colin Biros was no where to be found. This coaching staff knew when young Mr. Biros was ready to contribute. Morgan Hackworth was not in the starting lineup for the BG game. Morgan has developed so much during his time at Akron. I never expected that Morgan would start and be a key player. Coach Embick and his staff know that Morgan is a winner. Tremendous credit to Colin and Morgan for their work ethic. I am not sure if there was an injury to Pol Hernandez but the insertion of Daniel Strachan into the starting lineup today really appeared to be a wise move. Daniel had several shots in the first half and he is a force on corner kicks (with his size) The zips soccer program is in good hands with Coach Embick and his staff.

this gives you an idea of the conditions that these young men thrived in today
