  6. This is definitely "moving" day in the MAC for where the teams will end up in the tourney this game could decide who hosts the MAC tourney #39 SIUE (1-0-1) plays at 36 West Virginia (2-0-0) other games #48 W. Michigan (0-1-1) plays at 125 BGSU (1-0-1) and the biggie...38 Akron (0-1-1) at 46 NIU (0-2-0) Akron and WMU were probably the pre season favorites to finish 1 and 2. At 0-1-1, they both must win tonight if WVU, WMU and Akron all win tonight, there would be a 4 way tie for 2nd
  7. https://niuhuskies.com/news/2018/10/19/mens-soccer-huskies-set-for-saturday-date-with-akron.aspx "Akron is a very good team, they just beat a very good Creighton team," said Swan. "We expect them to come out and be possession-oriented, they have some very dynamic players so it is going to be a battle. It is going to be about staying organized, staying disciplined and if we can do that we will have every chance of getting a result in this game." "Both teams are very young. Everybody has a number of games under their belt, so there is a certain level of maturity, but whoever can stay the most composed and stick to the plan will have the advantage because there is a lot on the line."

  20. Highlights from the big ten network
  21. The young zips team should be very proud of all that they overcame....to get a road win. They overcame an injury to Marco Milanese. They have showed their toughness on the road at Grand Canyon, VCU and at Michigan State. Grand Canyon had a win over the weekend over Seattle. Morgan Hackworth is a battler and he is showing some senior leadership. Skye had his best game this season. Pol and Abdi have locked down the outside back positions. Pacheco and Egbo will have fresh legs for Saturday. This team can still accomplish a lot this year.
  22. https://gozips.com/news/2018/10/9/mens-soccer-egbo-and-harter-propel-akron-to-2-1-win-at-no-8-michigan-state.aspx "Top to bottom we had a tremendous effort from everyone tonight," Akron head coach Jared Embick commented. "It was a team victory for us. Our seniors – Morgan (Hackworth), Ezana (Kahsay) and Ben (Lundt) were excellent and Skye (Harter) was awesome. I couldn't be more proud of our fight. We have a big game on Saturday and we need to focus on that game. I hope we can fill the hill and keep the momentum going."
