I have been driving a lot over the past 2 days...so I am slow in responding. I wanted to acknowledge and thank TJ for all of his contributions to Zips soccer. Jared, Ger and TJ did super work in the MAC tourney and the NCAA tourney leading and improving the zips soccer team (while operating with one less coach than most teams). Very happy for TJ that he has moved into an assistant position.

https://wreg.com/2019/02/20/memphis-901-fc-falls-in-friendly-to-back-to-back-usl-champs/ An exciting first half saw midfielder Adam Najem find the back of the net as Memphis and the defending league champions traded goals on an overcast afternoon at Vanderbilt University. Wednesday’s friendly also held a special meaning for 901 FC defender Morgan Hackworth, who was able to play against his father John Hackworth who is Louisville City FC’s head coach. The two will meet again in the regular season on April 30 when Memphis travels to Louisville.

Richie Laryea is still in camp with Toronto of the MLS... keep working hard, Richie!!! zips nation is rooting for you https://torontosun.com/sports/soccer/mls/just-one-more-exhibition-before-concacaf-season-starts A TASTE OF MLS Vanney was pleased with his club’s performance in a 1-1 draw against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park in L.A.. Both scores were own goals. A Rolf Feltscher backward header was inadvertently redirected into the Toronto net by TFC’s Terique Mohammed, while a Richie Laryea cross was deflected into the L.A. goal by Galaxy defender Dave Romney.

Absolutely great news for the zips soccer program -
https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/993194 “In evaluating the pool of players coming out of college, we thought that Ben was one of, if not the best goalkeeper coming out,” said Louisville head coach John Hackworth. “With this acquisition we know that we have strengthened our depth at the goalkeeper position. We look forward to Ben’s contribution to our teams’ success.” “I’ve been in preseason with Cincinnati for two weeks and I’m in good shape,” said Lundt. “Now that I’ve joined Louisville, I’m extremely happy. Louisville is a great club with a lot of success in the past and I want to be part of another successful season.”
