CSU played really well last night. A defensive miscue led to the first Pitt goal and a defender slipped that led to the second. Other than that, CSU didn't park the bus; they attacked when they could. They applied some pressure late which lead to a goal, but time ran out on them. Props to Sinisa and his staff for an excellent season!

When it comes to assigning seeds, RPI is only one of the factors used by the committee. Do you really think Vermont and Penn are better than a healthy Zips side? That's the problem with RPI, a lower-ranked team upsets a higher-ranked team due to a red card, injury, suspension, bad call, broken-down bus, etc.... and all of the rankings are impacted. Also, travel is another factor. The committee tries to keep travel to a minimum, especially in the first few rounds. Does Vegas have College Cup odds? That would be interesting to see!

ESPN+ is telling me that I need ACC Network to watch the game. Grrrrrr. -
Like last year, J Dublin's is showing the match. https://twitter.com/ZipsMSoc/status/1069697150907547650

It looks like you can watch content on the PAC-12 Network for free for the first 5 minutes.
-
For Sling TV subscribers (like me) the PAC-12 Network is available via a $5/mo sports add-on package. So I can either spend $5 or head down to the JAR.

The left side of the Zips back line needs to be better from here on out. Our speed and perfectly-timed tackles can't bail us out every time.

Sooooooooo close. Maybe the AR had a better view.

Which Wake player was offsides? The player who scored or the one who received the pass?

Here's a better clip of that "time wasting" foul. Notice Here's a better shot of that play. Untitled3.mp4

Exactly. Here's a page from U.S. Soccer describing the play and their course of action. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2014/03/17/11/20/interfering-with-the-goalkeepers-release-of-the-ball

Yes. What was the call?
-
With only a few minutes remaining, Ben is trying to punt the ball and a Rider player is won't move out of his way. The ref calls a foul on Ben. What was the call?

What happened at the end of the match that resulted in Kuba Polat receiving a straight red? I was heading out and missed it.

I too enjoyed watching Victor play however, there were several times he lost his cool on the field. Just before his release, he got into an altercation with a SDSU player at the end of the game and received a straight red card. How many straight red cards did he get in his 3+ years at Akron? I didn't keep count, but it seemed like a lot; more than any other Zip in recent memory.

Will the game be on ESPN3 again? -
Instead of asking, I remember Caleb demanding fans bring friends to NCAA home games!

I attended the viewing party at the JAR. The team was disappointed when it was announced that Akron received a #5 seed. I'm surprised Michigan State got a 7 seed.
-
Here's my guess at the top 12 seeds: 1. Wake Forest 2. Indiana 3. North Carolina 4. Akron 5. Louisville 6. Virginia 7. Duke 8. Clemson 9. Western Michigan 10. Stanford 11. Notre Dame 12. Michigan State
-
I'm hoping the Zips receive a 6 or 7 seed (or higher) as 8 and 9 seeds 1) are in the 1 seed region and 2) would play each other in the 2nd round.

WMU just defeated WVU 1-0.

Any Preferred NCAAT Opponents?

What about Virginia Tech? I could see the Zips hosting the winner of Wisconsin/Virginia Tech in the second round.
