It'll take me a while to learn everyone's sense of humor I suppose . Being able to translate sarcasm into print is a very, very difficult skill. I think only Dennis Dodd accomplishes it on a regular basis

Now I'm totally confused. You said he was too heavy to play linebacker, but fairly decent size as a corner??????? Isn't that backwards? Regarding this young man, if he can get his grades in shape, he runs a 4.52. 'Nuff said !!!!!!

Agree with Zach 100%. The star system is not a reliable indicator of talent. There are wayyyyy too many 4-5 star players that end up being busts, while plenty of guys who don't have a rating ending being starters at big programs, and having great careers. Great coaches NEVER rely on anyone's assessment of a player other than a) the high school coach and their own personal assessment. Please do not get caught up on Rivals or Scouts rankings... Recruiting has become a "spectator sport" itself and is HUGE business. Yahoo! Sports bought Rivals 4-5 years ago for over $100 MILLION! It is more about perception, and who owes who than true scouting.

I will keep saying this until I am blue in the face.... There is no coach in the country who is better at evaluating and coaching linebackers than Coach Amato

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere, but this Armwood HS team was the Florida 6A State Champs. Almost every senior on this team has gotten a D1 offer. Several are on the AP 6A all-state team... Amazing program they've got there! Looks like we've got two of those players. Florida AP class 6A All-State teams

I guess I should have used the word "satisfied" instead of "happy".

This kid is also a "dadgum" good wrestler. Our coaches love players who are good wrestlers.

This is a VERY smart kid, obviously. Just looking at his rivals profile - amazing grades and scores - plus if Navy offered him, you know he's smart, disciplined, etc. This sounds like a potentially GREAT player for us!!

T-Buck played with him at the Dolphins, so I am sure the staff has already reached out to him. I doubt with all the money he's made over his career that he is looking for a job right now . But I sure hope he comes back to support the program, and I'll bet he does.

I promise you they are not going to give any player a scholarship that they do no believe will contribute to the team. Period. And Dylan was not offered by Ianello. Again, Amato is from PA... Amato is one of, if not the best, linebacker coach in the country. 'Nuff said!

Did you read what I posted? Coach Amato is not going to bring in any players, let alone a LB, that he doesnt believe can play for us.

All you have to remember are these two things: Coach Amato is from PA Coach Amato is the Linebackers Coach. Period. Done. Finished. 'Nuff said.

"Even Terry"???? Coach Bowden has an overall career winning percentage of 69%. I'd say that's a LOT more successful, not only than Schiano, but of probably 80-90% of all college head coaches.

I still can't believe he turned down the University of Miami job several years ago -- guess he was holding out for the NFL. I have a friend who plays for the Bucs, I'm interested to hear what he has to say.

Come on .... you seriously can't be saying that we have to beat UCF and/or FIU to have a successful season, are you? Is it your feeling that the competition in the MAC is tougher than UCF and FIU? I think both games are winnable -- but to "bank" on one or both of them in order to have "whatever is determined to be a successful season" is unfair, IMO. P.S. Its actually possible we win at Tennessee -- not likely, but definitely possible.
