From what I have seen...the students go downtown at night. The arena should be across from Canal Park. Great after game scene as suggested for those who want it and ample parking with Polsky Deck and the lots surrounding. I would build it to 12,000 but do what the Q does during the MAC Tournament...curtain off the upper tier and pack the fans in, close to the court. That way if/when we get to a larger conference, the curtain can be opened (preferably before then) and larger capacity is available.

This coming from someone who supposedly works in higher education...look in the mirror. You're the problem. The job of the administration is to get students to UA, get them to pay for the education. It is the professors job to educate so that the students have a positive experience and feel like they get what they paid for.

Instead of this can we have a thread titled: Bowden Transfers, players who are coming in who can actually help us instead of landing at Elon or going to Lake Erie College I don't care who leaves. I want to know who is going to stay and who is coming in to make this program better that 2-22.

I don't know if the title of the article is appropriate, not to critique, I enjoy all that is written regarding the Zips; especially the inner workings of Zips Athletics. I just wonder if there is a more positive way to phrase it. The title makes it seem like the program is in trouble because of all the defections. We all know its not, but think from an outsider's perspective. Sounds discouraging. If they were to win, they would get something in return...talking points with their recruits. If they lose, it's "OK, they are a good program." Football, right now, we don't matter, hence they schedule us. Basketball, on the other hand, we could get them on any given night, therefore it is tougher to get on the schedule because they have so much more to risk with a loss.

I thought it was kind of a shot at Terry. Some UNA people have said that he takes problem players ex. Janoris Jenkins. But we do have recent history of Terry not taking a troubled player and bringing him to Akron. That CB/DB player from FSU...don't remember his name off the top of my head.

I only read the first post but had an immediate thought to the question on 'why everyone just sits on their hands?' I was at the Buffalo game sitting mid court opposite of the team benches. I was cheering, standing clapping and having a good time with my son. An usher came over to me and asked me to sit down because the people in Upper Reserve couldn't see. I wasn't standing all game. I was standing at a pivotal point and while the Zips were making a run to try and come back. This is unacceptable. We are told not to enjoy ourselves. Hence the culture, it happened to me...how many others?

I truly enjoy Zeke as a player and as a person. My 4 year old son loves him. When we play basketball at my house, my son is always Alex and Quincy, but I get to play Big Zeke Marshall and block shots and make slam dunks.
