Just saw this article on Akron News Now. It has a video for a trailer from an independent film made in 1989 in Akron. The start of the video is the only good part as it shows Zombies outside the Rubber Bowl and the Hanger. Pretty funny stuff, anyone remember this?

Ummmmm. More like Akron soccer = Florida football + Alabama football + North Carolina basketball + UCLA waterpolo. Get it? exactly. It's only a matter of time before the respect starts coming. The RPI is not bias, we just play in a crappy conference. That will eventually change and regardless it hasn't affected recruiting. Let's just win that first national championship and then we can complain about not getting respect.

You cant even get Indians games on campus cable let alone expect to get a game like this. Thank God i dont have to deal with that.

Great article, it is sickening what has happened. Akron stated that no tailgating was permitted until a few hours prior to kickoff and no tailgating during game as well. Thank God that hasn't been enforced. It has been a pleasant surprise tailgating this year at the Info. Though it may not be the Rubber Bowl, it has in fact been better than most anywhere else.

Last ex-Notre Dame coach we hired didn't work out all that well (of course he didn't have any national championships on his resume).Yeah i would have to say Faust and Holtz have resume's that look quite different to say the least. Not to mention Holtz is a household name that would bring instant credibility to our program. Imagine the recruits we would get just because of it's Lou Holtz. Let him sign a 2 year contract and pass the reigns to someone else after a few years, a protege of his choice.

Here's something Notre Dame related. Fire JD and bring in Lou Holtz. There is not one bad thing that could come of that. (well besides him being a Can't stater)

If you watch that video you will realize it was the 20 good plays that Ohio had, in a 19-7 victory that should very well have been a loss if not for Turnover Machine # 5. It was put together by Ohio, to make Ohio look good. It wasn't a game highlight video, it was an Ohio highlight video. If you are going to say you watched "highlights" of the season and "came to a conclusion" make sure you actually watch the films that show every play that Akron had, not just the ones that Ohio wants it's recruits to see.Talk about an uninformed opinion. I agree, you cannot rely on a highlight video to make your assumption on how much effort the team put into that game. Sometimes good players make others look stupid and their players did that a few times to us(all caught on video).Btw i do disagree on one thing, #5 is not a turnover machine....he is a turnover FACTORY.

that's the second time this year we have scored 2 goals that close in time. How the heck is the ball making it out of the goal to midfield and back into the goal in such a short period of time?! It seems almost impossible.

So if Zeke isn't quite ready to take over the starting spot I'm sure it will be Nik starting at C. I would go with Nik, Zeke, Bardo.Not quite, good sir. Bardo's quick feet and supreme coordination make him a shoe in for the starting spot.And McNeeses consistency scoring make him a shoe in for the starting SG spot.

I too have confidence now in this team. I think having a stable QB that actually has the talent to carry an offense will be a big boost. I'm calling 5-7/6-6 for the finish. I know winning 5 or 6 out of 7 games will be tough but i dont think it will be impossible.

I dont see how what i said was me wishing injury upon rodgers or enjoying the fact that he was injured. OF COURSE it's never a "positive" for a kid to get hurt. What i stated was intended to be sarcasm in the fullest sense , i know people have been calling for Rodgers head for weeks (myself included) and i was only poking fun at that crowd (and myself). Though i will say in the end it saved the poor kid from embarrassing himself even more.Rodgers hopefully will come back and be playing something more suited for his talents (receiver, special teams, etc)I will however delete that post if that's truly what you guys want, but my God calm down.

Rodgers was killing us with his stupid play in the first half. Fumbling on the goal line, interceptions, just stupid football.

I'm still shocked there are so many people trying to say that "Rodgers was starting to play better" and things like that. I think many of you have the same talent evaluation skills as JD. Fact is, it shouldn't have taken an injury for this to happen. As many others like myself have seen since game one with rodgers, he just doesn't have it.

I have never been grateful for a player being injured ever in my life, but tonight i felt so bad for Rodgers that i almost saw it as a blessing. He looked so terrible during big plays tonight that it made me wonder if he has some sort of terrible luck or something. I mean honestly, how often can someone fumble at times like that and throw ridiculous interceptions when the offense is finally starting to click? Thank God Rodgers is finally out, Nicely should have been starting since the IU game...period.

If our procedure is to suspend coaches for extremely minor violations while the issue is being investigated, we need to revisit our procedures.When the AD throws a young coach under the bus and leaves him hanging to the point that the guy has to resign, I don't see how he couldn't have his hand in it either directly or indirectly. I have a feeling the new AD has really stepped in it here by throwing probably the only coach that could be considered a "fan favorite" under the bus.Another question...If this guy is a marketing genius, how come he could not see an overreaction to a minor situation in this case as a public relations disaster?I dont know if you've noticed but our Athletics department completely throughout is about the worst bunch of marketers in college sports. It would be no surprise that we hired another "supposed marketing genious" that turns out to be just more of the same.
