  1. So far their QB doesn't look crips, and that was a TERRIBLE punt. Let's cash in Zips!
  2. It's on ESPN2 people. I'm watching it right now.
  3. Yeah what are you talking about? ESPN 2 has "Zips @ Miami" on the schedule...on my TV...right now...
  4. I hope I won't be surprised tonight. I'm expecting a Zips win. Go Zips.
  5. Yeah...they'll find some way to dedicate an entire page to the Buckeye's chase to another 10-2 season with a Bowl appearance in whatever Bowl...
  6. I was just thinking that myself! Good lord theirs is pretty terrible...
  7. Indeed. Hopefully the Zips can show up and prove otherwise.
  8. totally agree. So they lose to a previously unranked team, and they're currently at #6...so they'll probably move to #10 just behind Wisconsin, so if they beat Wisconsin, they can move up...and if enough dominos fall with the last couple of games... But that loss was so bad, I'm sure the CFP could justify it.
  9. Updated List for everyone. Currently Miami, EMU and Buffalo are all have to win-out to get eligible. Camellia Bowl Bahamas Bowl Potato Bowl Dollar General Bowl *St. Petersburg Bowl *Boca Rotan Bowl *Quick Lane Bowl Teams Bowl Eligible: Toledo Ohio Teams in the Hunt: Northern Illinois Akron Western Michigan Buffalo C. Mighican Miami E. Michigan Teams Eliminated: Bowling Green Ball St. Kent State
  10. This is the best I could get from the replay, they were pretty good at zooming in the cameras.
  11. At least theirs don't actually mean anything...unlike The CFP committees...
  12. Listening to Mike and Mike this morning, and they were both already thinking up excuses for the Committee: "head-to-head matters...for now..." "Undefeated Miami team, no way they don't make it...unless the quality of the wins for other teams are just better" They even said this morning: "the quality of the loss...Oklahoma loss was EARLY in the year (therefore it's not as meaningful as later in the year)" "Look at how we've watched them mature and grow...that's got to account for something!" Bullshit bullshit, bullshit. Not. Objective. At. All.
  13. And it also probably has something to do with "seasonal" subscribers too. I frequently cancel my Sling Service for like 4 months out of the year, when there isn't football/basketball/television shows I actually follow. That saves me about $100 and you could probably quantify as a loss of 1/3 of a subscription for ESPN, because it's a part of my package. With regular cable, ESPN gets a regular set $$$ from the cable companies per subscriber, I'd assume it's the same for Sling. And if people are willy-nilly cancelling services (like I do) when you don't need/use them, then it's definitely hurting ESPN. They probably attach the $$$ to a certain number of subscribers, thus whenever we talk about it...its not actual subscribers but instead equates to lost revenue over that time period.
  14. Good point. The metrics have been updated after last night's game: I would personally be interested to see how the Zips match up against Miami, as an indicator for the Ohio game. I feel like Akron's Defense would fare better against Ohio than Miami's did.
  15. Ohio State, which LOST to Oklahoma earlier this year, is now officially team #4 on the first committee rankings of the year. They haven't beaten anyone worth a damn outside Penn State, who they were lucky to beat late. Oklahoma, which CRUSHED them ON THE ROAD, is ranked BEHIND OSU; who's only loss is to Iowa State...a team that has proven itself to be better than the majority of the teams that OSU has played this year. I joked with my dad before the game with Penn State: "You know that if #6 OSU beats #2 PSU, they'll use that as justification for moving OSU into the top 4, while not using #8 Oklahoma having beaten #2 OSU as a justification for being in the top-4" And sure enough...they did. Let the mental gymnastics begin as everyone desperately tries to justify what teams deserve to be in the CFB over others!
  16. I really want to know what analytics formula ESPN uses to come up with these? No way I'd say 3-5 Miami has a 61% chance of beating Akron. Like, they have no wins we don't have, and they have losses that we don't have at home (BGSU) that we got on the road...literally makes no sense.
  17. I've given up on caring about attendance.
