No. He's a Zip!

He looks like the type of RB that Bowden and Co have been wanting, and wanted Chisholm to be. We could certainly use his Return abilities at the very least. Hopefully he can come here with the right attitude and use this chance to boost a chance at the NFL. I trust Bowden's ability to bring in players worthy of a second chance.

So he wouldn't be able to play this year? How does that work if you were kicked out of a program? Transfer rules still apply?

This forum is getting really old, really quickly.

You were the one who brought it up. If you don't want to talk about it, don't bring it up. And no, you made a comment directed at Browns fans by saying: That's less about Unis, and more trying to make a dig at Browns fans.

I used to work in the office of NSO, I saw a lot of transfers in...and a lot of students who were coming to Akron for the explicit purpose of transfering to OSU or Ohio (yes they said that), and they were coming to UA because it was the closest to them. A lot of my peers from HS put in 2 years at Akron and then transfered. So I think you're underestimating just how many people do that. It really depends where you are geographically, and are these discounts going to work for the other campuses too...like Medina, Wayne etc...If that's the case, I think there would be even more of a retention problem. Why not just commute from home to the Medina or Wayne campus and then go spend the final 2 years of college at the OSU...because you know, it has to be better right? There are a lot of students who think like this...

And my point is, that it's beyond sad for anyone to trash talk the browns. We get it, expansion teams tend suck... and there are a lot of reasons why they do. Just taking a dump on the browns whenever you can is equally pathetic. Just my opinion. This is talking trash, trash that is equally (if not more) pathetic. It's like beating up on someone who's already knocked out...not cool. Also assuming the Browns are NEVER EVER going to make the playoffs is just stupid. Snarky comments, warrant equally snarky replies.

From the article "Rickel said the university expects to offset the loss of tuition income by increasing enrollment and retaining the students." I'm calling BS on that arguement, where's the evidence to support that? I want to see the numbers, and viability studies that support that. I think this is going to end up being a huge mistake when students go to UA to take GenEd courses (where they're already doing) and then transfering to State Ohio University (which a lot of them already do) afterwards. They better damn well fix the culture in a short time to retain those students. We're just the first, the first in a drastic change. There are drastic changes happening at the HS level, which are going to force changes (and editorally speaking, bad changes) at the college level. HS in the State of Ohio are now being required to provide "Pathways to College". Essentially any student (starting with 7th graders) can request a pathway to any college in Ohio, and the public school must provide the resources for that, ie courses/partnership with that university. College Credit Plus is another name for it. I'll spare everyone my editorial comments on this subject, but these programs are going to lead to some drastic changes. Also note, that College Credit Plus is not the same as PSEOP.

I think it's a compatabilit issue with all Internet Explorers. I've used many versions, each doesn't work. Chrome works like a charm.

Browns will sweep the Squeelers this year. And enjoy the downfall.

Haha Touche...but some jerseys are meant to stay in the past...especially the ones that make you look like Bumblebee prisoners However, I think everyone on this forum would be ecstatic if our new uniforms were anything like these (focusing on school colors).

I agree and disagree. When I frist saw them, hated them. Now that I have a second look: love the orange pants (its about time those were brought back), like the orange jersey, like the brown pants...really the onlything I don't like is the orang enumbers on the brown jersey...but I think I can come around on those when the Browns are winning. For any of the Steelers fans on this forum that are about to vomit their disgust for the Browns new jerseys... I give you this vomit inducing image:

He sounds promising as a pass catching TE option in the supposed one-read offense, if he can do what is reported. Zach, (and anyone else) do you think this is a place they've found for him that he can succeed in/the team needs a player in and he'll be looked at for LB later? Based on his size he seems a perfect fit for LB...

APS students or UA students?

I really despise nonsense like this.

Akron still maintaining a 1pt lead.

That's what I was thinking...but couldn't it also mean that the QB isn't going to sit in the pocket looking for a Reciever to get open? Instead, if the first option isn't open, roll-out to threat the run and perhaps another WR will come open? And the WR option might change on every play...

Here's a random reference in BuzzFeed. No. 16.

I can go along with that Zach, I completely agree. Most games we completely abandoned the running game. Hopefully we'll see someone emerge as a true No. 1 before the seasons starts. I don't think we have a home-run hitter like Dri Archer, but I do think we have some workhorses that can do well if we have a fast moving offense with a dual-threat quarterback. Hopefully Chapman can be the QB he's being purmped to be, or Pohl take the leadership role we've needed him to be.

Thanks for the Info on Ray-Ray Smith. Yes I do think Lawrence is promising, needs to stay healthy. I don't agree with the opinion of Hundley...he's more of a mid-range to top end of the MAC RB...not the best, but definitely not a low-tier MAC RB, I don't know where you get that...his carries were limited early in the season in lieu of Chisholm, whom was less than impressive. MAC RB's 2014: Kareem Hunt 205 1631 8 91 (TD) 16 Terry Swanson 113 732 6.5 48 6 Joel Bouagnon 113 655 5.8 49 5 Drew Hare 159 900 5.7 78 (TD) 8 Akeem Daniels 71 390 5.5 29 1 Fred Coppet 141 764 5.4 69 6 Chiz Chisholm 114 620 5.4 80 (TD) 8 Travis Greene 180 949 5.3 75 (TD) 12 Thomas Rawls 210 1103 5.3 46 10 Conor Hundley 104 540 5.2 42 4 Dawan Scott 74 384 5.2 61 (TD) 2 Devon Spalding 73 371 5.1 51 (TD) 4 Jarvion Franklin 306 1551 5.1 61 (TD) 24 Anthone Taylor 282 1403 5 76 (TD) 12 Cameron Stingily 193 971 5 43 14 Jordan Johnson 74 361 4.9 35 1 A.J. All I'm saying is that this season, out of the past 5, is the least in which we should be doom-and-gloom. I guess my question is, what do you want from the QB and RB position that we don't have already, when compared to the years (two of which dug the hole with which we are climbing out of currently, and shall remain nameless). I personally always thought Hundley was the better RB vs Chisholm, and we still have him. Alexander and Lawrence I think are both promising. But do you know (or anyone) if Ray-Ray Smith is playing WR, or RB because he was recruited as an athlete.
-
That too. GT was probably watching Zips practice inbetween streaming videos of State Ohio University and Browns I mean...it's hard to beat wonderful insights such as: "Incumbant Senior QB Kyle Pohl and sophmore challenger Tra'Von Chapman both look OKAY."
-
Well he is dual threat...but I was going to say what's wrong with Hundley for the RB position just didn't.
