I hope Maishe Dailey is our Plowden next year.

I'm going to start working in the game 29 thread. LOL.

This camera crew sucks as bad as the Zips have been shooting.
We've gotten a lot of good looks at the guy in the Michigan sweatshirt behind the UA bench.
-
Groce yelling at the refs on way off of floor.
-
Oddly, the Zips are damn lucky to be down only 12.

X is just so far in his own head right now
Exactly.

They're not losing due to the refs. They're getting beat on both ends of the floor. As I feared, their bench is playing well while the Zips are getting little if anything from the subs.
-
Banks with a stupid dead ball foul there. Just get out of there.

I am SO done with the Jersey Mike's commercial.
Limu emu.

Tribble has great hops, but can he ever just execute a simple layup?
-
They shouldn't have Cheese on Turner with 2 fouls. Shocked they haven't gone after him.
-
Gillette Skinguard will haunt me tonight. Could we please get back the Jennifer Garner ads?

0-7 from 3 to start the game.

BS call on Cheese.

Frankly I'm just not going to watch youtube videos of some random high school kid who might not even attend Akron. Based off the qualifications that you listed and his 1/2 dozen D1 offers, he seems like he would be a solid get and I can see why Groce offered him. If he commits I'll actually take a look and offer an opinion on the impact I feel he can make. In the meantime I still appreciate hearing updates in case he does commit.
Amen. No disrespect to the kid but there have been more posts about him than kids who actually committed to and came to Akron.
He'd be a nice get but I suspect he has "bigger" offers coming.

Zips opened as 1.5 point favorites, like has shift to PK or BG -1.
Really looking forward to this one. Need to get out of our shooting funk.
I saw BG -1.5.

The bench needs to come through tonight. BG's primary advantage is their depth so it's important that the bench guys offset some of BG's bench performance.

If you can get past the ugly style of play, EMU was playing some good basketball in February. We were lucky to win, but I can't say we laid an egg in that one. I'd give EMU some credit.
Agreed. The EMU zone was really working around that time. They'd won two in a row coming in, lost to the Zips by 1, then won their next three. As painful as that game was for us to watch, EMU's effort had something to do with it.

In the first game, they started off by having Fields deny LCJ the ball all over the court, then they went away from it and defended him straight up. I suspect they'll do it Tuesday and stick with it longer.

BG was ripe for the picking during the Louis Orr era. These are not Louis Orr's Falcons. I'm not getting a good feeling about this one.
-
Looks like Trey Diggs got the start against OU in place of an injured Caleb Fields. Not sure the extent of Fields' injury. Diggs looked good against OU. 22 points and high energy. Frye came off of the bench.

Bob Dyer offers nothing to the community. He's a jack ass and a curmudgeon. If the Zips win the MAC Championship, I look forward to sending him a nice email reminding him of the nasty article he wrote about Groce and the university after Groce's hire. He ripped on the program but never attended a game.
Would you please stop being so subtle and just say what you think? This sugarcoating everything has to stop!

Yep, having the tournament in our backyard with a chance to win it is fantastic.

At least Bob Dyer doesn't write about Zips hoops. They are too good a story for his column.
Way too many positives for Bob's professional whining.
