  1. Groce spoke last night on Zips Live about how he has become a leader on the team and how all of the kids look up to him (not literally of course). I think that speaks to his commitment to the program.
  2. My thoughts exactly. From everything I have heard LCJ has bought in completely and become a leader on this team. As such, I'd be shocked if he went anywhere.
  3. Here's hoping they don't call the game like the refs Tuesday night or I will be up well past my bedtime.
  4. Trust me, it won't be his first. LOL.
  5. You'll also have those who run in at 6:55 to discover the game is at 9!
  6. Kwan was not the rebounder or perimeter defender X is, nor was he as mobile. That's not a critique as he was a solid player. They're just different.
  7. I thought it was the football season total attendance.
  8. Tahjai Teague really seems to be coming into his own for the Cards. He had 25 points, 9 boards, 2 blocks and 3 steals against Canada.
  9. You still thinking that? LOL. Go Zips!
  10. I would agree that I suffer from NEO Sports Psychosis. As a result, I'm always looking for the heartbreak lurking around the corner.
  11. I like this team but there's a lot of season left and some work by the team to be done. I appreciate the enthusiasm but want to see more results before getting caught up in the polls.
  12. Everybody needs to pump the brakes a little...
  13. NWAkron’s favorite MAC team, the 9-6 Ball State Cardinals, come into the JAR for a late night 9 p.m. game Friday fresh off of a 20 point drubbing of Canada. The Cards are led by junior guard Ishmael El-Amin at 14.6 ppg. El Amin is the son of former University of Connecticut and NBA player Khalid El-Amin. Cardinals ended up with 16-17 record overall and won just six MAC games last year. Ball State lost guard Taylor Person to graduation. Senior forward Tahjai Teague was named to the West Division Preseason All-MAC Team and the team was predicted to finish third in the West Division.
  14. Zips turned 21 turnovers into 32 points. Nice. Need to fix the defensive breakdowns we saw in the second half.
  15. Time to put X back in and ride it out.
  16. Flowers kicking out his leg when he shoots is as bad as a defender stepping in under a shooter.
  17. Down to 7. 50-43, 12:19. Grrrrrr.
  18. Crappy start to the half. Zips need to wake up. 42-32, 15:44.
  19. Hustled out of position, resulted in a three point play. Refs are killing the flow.
  20. Good start, iffy in the middle, nice finish to the half.
  21. I'd be content with never having to see another Riak three pointer.
