I wonder if they actually made the last 183 students buy a ticket. They had said that only 1000 students get in free with a valid ZipCard because it was expected to sell out.

Somehow when looking at the schedule, I didn't even realize we were playing Pittsburgh haha. Looks like I'm going to my first Zips football road game, other than Can't State.

The north end, next to the band isn't for students. Its for possible recruits and other visitors of the team. But something definitely needs to change with the student seating set up.

Yeah, they won both games of the double header against La Salle. Zips now 3-2 on the season. They finish out the Duke Tournament against the host Blue Devils tomorrow afternoon.

Is the tournament format the same as the men's tournament?

According to BackTheZips.com, there are 655 tickets remaining for tonight's game.

No major changes, just a more experienced team. I think they only lost 1 starter on offense from last year.All of their main pitchers in both the rotation and the bullpen are back as well. Still gonna be tough at times as it always is, especially out of conference, for northern teams but they have a good chance at qualifying for the MAC tournament for the first time since 2005 (only 8 of the 12 teams qualify).

I'm a huge baseball fan so I pay more attention to the Zips baseball team than most on the board do. Anyways, I thought we could start a thread to discuss anything noteworthy that may happen, such as them beating NCAA Tournament participant (last year) Saint Louis University earlier tonight.

I didn't know where to ask this so I started a new thread...Does anyone know where we finished in the RPI last year? We are 89 right now (according to ESPN.com), which is better than I would have guessed.

I don'y know how many students are going home for the weekend because the University is observing the holiday on Tuesday not Monday.

I am still a student. I've tried to get friends to come in the past and they weren't interested. Its usually just me and my brother. We go to every game that's not during winter break, because we are from Youngstown and go home for break. Although we made the drive for two games during break as well.

There is no "Official Rowdies" requirement anymore. I was down there in the floor seats last night and it was pretty sad. I, once again blame the Rowdies leaders. They aren't doing anything more than sending e-mails reminding students when there is a game. Need more interaction.

If WMU wins this afternoon against Miami, they would move into 1st place via tie-breaker. Toledo would be 2nd, Zips 3rd (with a win against NIU).

Ohio wins 73-70. Good results, so far today, for the Zips. A Miami win over WMU would top it off, but that isn't likely to happen. Let's make sure we take care of business tonight against NIU!!

Buffalo and Ohio tied at the final media timeout. An Ohio win (and Akron win tonight) would move the Zips back ahead of Buffalo. Go OU????

We're on our way to another 20+ win season, so that's certainly nothing to be upset about. Also, still a great chance to get to the NCAA Tournament.
