We lost our two best running backs early in the year. Our starting QB was not fully recovered from a shoulder injury. He also had some personal issues. The game last night was not good, but I think we are still on the right track. We just need some more Jimmies and Joes.

I received my tickets in a stack with a rubber band around them. My parking pass was downgraded from the surface lot next to the Nat to the deck by rte 8. Geez! This whole Dambrot leaving really ticks me off!! If you want to leave, fine go ahead and go. The whole "I am an Akron guy"" Blah blah blah! was just a bunch of bullshit. Like everyone else on this forum, I am extremely disappointed in how the season unfolded. I am certain there is not one person player or coach who is not exponentially more disappointed. I thank the kids for choosing Akron. We’ve come a long way in the twelve years that KD has guided this team. We as fans and Alums must step up and support our school and our Team.

At first I didn't give a hoot about us being in the NIT, but after giving it some thought, I think us playing in Texas against Houston is a big plus for our program. We get some free press coverage from an area where we are heavily recruiting. Winning the game is YUGE! We really need a few tournament wins. In any tournament!!!!!!!!!! Let's get another W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I am just blowing smoke. My take on all these attendance discussions is that the MAC is not considered a league on par with other conferences. The NCAA gives us a bid because they have to. I talk to many local sports fans in my daily work/activities. The only way to raise attendance on a continuous bases is for a MAC school or two, or three to be consistently ranked. That team or teams’ needs to win in the tournament. I don’t know if it will ever happen, but I really think that is why so many people including alum do not go to games.

I agree there is very little free media coverage. Though the ABJ didn't have any problems tearing us apart to get rid of the scar. Page after page of negative derogatory coverage. Some maybe justified, but much of it just biased opinions.

I thought the crowd was larger than 3600. My guess was 4500. I think we top out at 5500. Do the students get scanned and added to the total? Also, I know as a season ticket holder there are games when all of my tickets are not used/scanned. I still paid for them prior to the start of the season.

I thought this article was quite pertinent to what we are seeing at U of A. Maybe President Wilson can add some comment to what if anything we are doing here at U of A. I know we have had some past efforts to link UA to Economic development.
