As far as attendance, you have to consider it is a week before Christmas. Many Corporate types have to attend parties. I have several friends who could attend for this reason.

Trump just tweeted the toilet paper will be collected and used on AF1 as part of his FG budget reduction strategy.

I thought I saw McAdams on the bench(suit n tie). Is he a GA?

The blown calls early in the game were intentional. The missed PI ,and the negated interception. The spot on that 4th n 1 was terrible. I wandered what the hell the refs were doing. I sit on the 50 and we clearly had a first down. The MAC wants nothing more than to have a team ranked. A win by Akron would certainly have dropped WMU out of the rankings. It was quite obvious to me. Maybe the outcome would have been the same.

How about running the clock after an incomplete pass? Except perhaps in the last 2:00/min of each half.

I agree 4 hours is way too long! How many people would go to a 4 hour movie? I attend Mass at my Church and if the Priest runs over an hour people get irritated. LOL

Maybe some of the old timers on this site will have more details. As I said I was just a kid. It had to be around 1970 ish

I vaguely remember the game that was halted when the meteorite lit the place up. I was just a little kid at the time. I can't even remember the year.

The final game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was playing out perfectly. Except we lost. I think it was 5 OT's

Ditto on this one!!!!!!! We only lasted through part of the third quarter!!!!!!!!

I had some thoughts I wanted to share with my ZN brothers and sisters. Maybe I am full of B.S. Maybe I am blowing smoke. Maybe I am completely off base. Maybe I am just a negative nabob. I was thinking about my three children. My 16 nieces and nephews, and my friend’s children all of whom are age 18-34. A total of about 25 kids almost all of whom are college educated. Only three of the 25 live in the Northeast Ohio, and those three are without University degrees. What does this say about our community? I think the loss of young people to other areas of the Country is devastating to Akron. What does this out migration say about the future of U of A? I think the opportunities for young people to work grow and live in our community continues to decline and at an accelerated pace. Am I missing something? Is it political incompetence? Or maybe just political apathy? Does anyone in the business community look at these issues? A decline in enrollment at all educational levels. The negative effect on housing prices, retail purchasing, cultural amenities virtually every aspect of life needed for a vibrant thriving community. As I stated earlier, maybe I am off base and full of B.S. . Anyone?

This was a game we really needed to win. Regardless of the number of fans, there were many more than any previous games (this year or past years). It was a chance to hook a few people. To get them to come back for another game. A big missed opportunity for the program IMO.

Thanks Pat, Jake and Reggie!!!!!! Good luck to you all!

Nice win Zips! My wife and I as an afterthought on the way out last night went down on the floor for the net cutting. It hit me as we took pics with the players, why not invite all the fans down to the floor. I think it would have been cool for the fans and the players to get some high fives and face time with the guys. Just a thought!

A few years back my employer sponsored an Alumni event at Basketball game. It was a nice event we had food and drink in the student athletic facility across the street. We paid for the event, but it was a very nominal amount. I think tickets were discounted. You could bring as many friends and family as you desired. It was promoted internally via our company communications. If my recollection is correct, Coach Dambrot stopped by to say a few words and thank everyone. Zippy was present, and our CEO came and mingled. The event provided us with a nice company get together and brought back Alumni who had not been back to campus for some time. We had the event two consecutive years then never did it again. If you can get people to come once, they may come back for an additional game or two.

Considering his size I would like to see him play a little more low post offense. We will need some additional fire power from the block next year.

Sometimes his shot selection makes me shudder!

Thanks! It doesn't sound good. I hope PF and KC can stay out of foul trouble at NI.

Can anyone provide an injury update on Big Dog? Is he on crutches? Riding an electric scooter? A BIG electric scooter!

I am really starting to get into this Team. Dam do I want to see us win!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Zips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess it's no big deal, but I am curious. Did anyone else buy 50/50 tickets at this game. Was there ever a drawing? Did I just miss it?
-
Are you pulling a fast one on me? I don't think these are the three who worked the Bulls game. Am I right?
-
I don’t know his name, but when I saw the one referee before the Buffalo game I knew we were in trouble. I have seen him at the JAR many times, and he seems to have a grudge or bone to pick with the Zips. He didn’t let me down Friday night. He made some terrible calls. I think coach D blowing a gasket at the end of the game says it all. Doesn’t the MAC give there referees a performance review!

Zips vs. Can't 3-12-15 (MAC Tourney Rnd 3)

Lose your starting power forward before the season starts. Lose your starting point guard. Have several of your rotation players sick or injured at various points in the season. This season is one of the greatest coaching exhibitions ever. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I think this is great idea. The new name is obvious to me. "Buchtel University". I have thought about this previously. I don't think it's that big of a deal as far as the cost. It will takes us back to the future. We can still be the zips. And the word “Buchtel” has a sense of strength/power to it. I am all for it.
