Is that his way of admitting he was wrong (as many of us have done this season)?

I don't understand his point. Why would Bowden not be here in 2018? There is no way he is let go after this season and I think it is unlikely he would go anywhere.

I also saw a couple of non Akron fan tweets suggesting that Bowden should have won coach of the year for getting a team who shouldn't be going to the conference championship there by winning a couple of huge games. This case could be stronger if the Zips pull off the win.

We have 8 takeaways over the last 3 games. We need to maintain that pattern. I love how they have been spread out over a number of players, too.

Well, hopefully our offense can stay on the field enough to give the D a chance to be effective. Bowden mentioned, somewhere, (can't remember where) that Woodson has been practicing well. Not saying I think he starts, but believe it is not outside of the realm of possibility.

On another note, does anyone know what is going on with our receivers? Early in the season Chapman was a big target and now he only gets a few looks. Buckley was making some nice grabs for us but seems MIA. Wolf is still getting about the same amount of looks, but Smith seems to be "the guy", now.

I hope Kato is the X factor, because if he struggles, we are toast. I browsed the Toledo fan board last night and they seem unsure of their defense's ability to contain a dual threat QB. FWIW, their fan bases comments were among the most reasonable opposing fan comments I have ever seen and they do not disrespect us. I still wonder if Bowden is not letting everyone think Kato is the guy and we see Tommy Woodson trot out on to the field.
