  1. The little banner at the bottom of the screen when they were showing the new time included tge CBS Sports banner, so I think there is a chance they will air it.
  2. Postponed until tomorrow at 1:00 PM
  3. Looks like delayed until closer to 5:00 PM
  4. That whole sideline is flooded, too. Lovely.
  5. Weather delays are going to get old.
  6. N. Williams (shoulder) and K. Nelson (knee) are out.
  7. Weather delay...might last up to 2 hrs per WARF.
  8. I'll just leave this one alone....
  9. Tired of the Browns? Attend an Akron Zips football game: Letter to the Editor
  10. And people are atill talking about it... This is a game we can win, just not aure if we will win it.
  11. I agree. It's time to see how much improved the Zips defense is against our own conference.
  12. The benefit of the doubt. Players and their families almost always seem to think they are better than those getting more playing time and also tend to have different injury assessments than staff. I have also advocated for Williams and Stewart to get more looks instead of Young and Gladney, as well but also recognize that ut takes more than talent to be ready to be a regular to run D1 routes, including factors like stength, to hold onto the ball and not get stripped, knowledge of the offense, discipline, including footwork, route running, and the ability to read D1 defensive players. I would imagine their reps will increase as we continue in MAC play. Coney is probably a good example of this type of progression.
  13. Chapman is very athletic, he is elusive after the catch, knows the offense, knows Woodson, his father was a WR coach, and he has demonstrated a true team mentality and maturity. Oh, and he has caught the ball. I can't imagine why they would want to play him. I recommend that you stop embarrassing Nate.
  14. I have had the same thought and you could probably run this if you lined Chapman up in the backfield, too.
  15. You make it sound far more subjective than it actually is. Woodson is rhe #2 all time passing TD leader for the Zips, even with missing a lot of last season. He is an excellent pocket passer and I have heard players say that Woodson's football IQ is extremely high, something Bowden has stated over the last week. Kato has some talent but not the maturity or decision-making ti be a starter. I think Ramart is nore likely the QB of the future, however.
  16. No offense, but we have Iowa State thread....
  17. Assuming we play clean ball, with limited penalties and turnovers, this game will boil down to our ability to pass successfully and to limit Franklin. I think we may struggle early but have a handle on containing the run before halftime. Franklin is good, but he is no Kareem Hunt. I think it will ve very tough for WMU to come out emotionally charged after the 7OT win so we need to capitalize early. I am cautiously optimistic because of: 1. Improvement of our run game and blocking. 2. The way the OL handled Ball State. 3. Improved defensive with much better tackling. We still need more preasure in the QB. Our D plays better every week and we have had guys step up when injuries have happeend. 5. Last year I said we were 1 year away from having the depth to withstamd injuries that better programs survive and that appears to be the case. Guys have stepped up in both sides of the ball. 6. As controversial as this will be, I believe our play calling is much improved this year and one of the reasons we have been successful on 3rd down. 7. Punting is better. Kick offs are still a disaster and our coverage scares me. 8. We play well on the road. This is the week we need our WR to put on their big boy pants and Woody needs to be able to connect for us to win.
  18. Agreed. It feels like a real broadcast. Fios has it in their sports package for those outside of Ohio.
  19. Sad, but true.
  20. At last, something we agree on.
