Lol...you would think the published depth charts actually.meant something. They don't. They listed Matt Hoyer as a long snappers last year. The only depth chart that matter is the one in the coaches heads.

Darryl Monroe played well for us and Grice played above his talent level, IMHO. He was an emotional leader for the D. I felt like the the D last year lacked leadership. I hope that a couple if guys step up and lead the D last year. I think the D line is still evolving, but they did show significant improvement throughout the season in 2016. I don't think PSU is a very good measuring stick for the D. Troy and Iowa State are better. PSU is so stacked on offense that we could be solid on D and still get beat, soundly on D.

And yet, I have heard players voice the opposite about TW. One offensive captain - hard to pick between a guy like Ball and TW. I think people are reading too much into this.

It really sounds like Tommy (QB) is back in prime form. The real question marks remain at the DL and the WR positions. I am not sure that this is a game we will be able to use to judge how much better our defense is.

Should be the best early test of how we will hold up against our MAC opponents.

Colts' Jojo Natson: Gets Time with the first-team offense To be honest, none of the looks he got as a WR were all that great of throws, except for the slant he caught at the end. One catch was made down near the goal line and he saved a bad throw, that was very low. On one kick-off return he hit the crease like a bolt. If they let him return kicks, he will break them for the Colts. He has remarkable field vision.

I always felt like Bickley was so close to becoming an explosive player but never quite crossed the threshold. In addition to drops, he was fumble-prone. I hope the 2 years out of the spotlight gave him the chance to develop into the second coming of Jojo Natson, but I am not counting on it. Everyone seems to think that Chapman has become a legitimate receiver and I really hope it's true. I would think there has to be an advantage with him understanding the QB's mindset.

Zips FB Video isn't what it used to be.

So wish we would have had more than a year with him. Most exciting Zip in a long, long time.
