  1. Then there's no excuse if the MAC doesn't give him AT LEAST that high of an honor.
  2. I just had another thought. If they voted for the EMU coach because of "improvement", isn't that a good argument for Keith as well? In 2011, we had the #6 team in the MAC in the regular season. In 2012, we have the #1 team in the MAC in the regular season. That could easily be an argument for "dramatic improvement"
  3. I've heard some people mention this before. But, he had the #3 seed in the MAC tourney last year, which meant he had the 2nd best team in the East. So, up until this year, I'm not really seeing that his teams were failing to produce under his leadership.
  4. I saw that highlight as well. It was the first time I got a good look at it. Ridiculous call. And at that point in the game, it was HUGE.
  5. After you've played someone twice in the last month or so, you already have ideas about how to beat them. You just don't know if they are going to work or not.
  6. Hold it right there....they have the best coach in the league
  7. I lost too much respect for Alex when he stood at midcourt during the OU game and let a fast break run by him. And then he argued with Keith about it. He serioiusly needs to cut down on the number of unmakable circus shots in the paint, but he made much better decisions against Ken+. I have to be honest. I can't vote on this. Way too many guys making key contributions at many different times this year. Let me edit my post: Could you put Treadwell on the list of candiates? Would anyone vote for him? He's averaging over 5 reb. per game playing 16 minutes. At 1 rebound every 3 minutes, he's way ahead of anyone else. He's certainly been huge for us in that respect.
  8. It was a media poll. Go figure. I could have lived with Reggie. But, this is ridiculous.
  9. How about if you and a couple of others stop using the Zips Sports forum to make the same failed argument that soccer fans in America have been trying to make for the last half century? Yes, we all know that tons of young kids play soccer. It's not anything new. It's an inexpensive sport for parents who want their children to be active.
  10. Have I missed something? When did Jarrod Jones suddenly have a "G" listed as his position? I figured that Keith's biggest competition for Coach of Year was Reggie. And I am happy that Zeke has finally made enough of a name for himself to get recognized among some of the better front line players. Shocked to see Justin Green on the 3rd team. I love Pearson, and I'm happy to see that he pushed Cooper to the 2nd team in his Senior year.
  11. Remember, we've had overachieving teams too, and Keith didn't get it. I'm really hoping that the title gives him the edge this time.
  12. I was wondering when someone was going to mention this. We heard this during the OU game TV broadcast, and thought maybe they were using some French pronunciation or something. Has it happened at another time too? You could have at least made it look a little more sophisticated by going with Dambrough or Dambreaux.
  13. I hope we hit SHOTS from outside, and not what you suggest
  14. I don't know if anyone realizes this today, but those two straight McNees 3-pointers that followed that big start by Ken+ were undoubtedly the two biggest buckets of the game. Without that, we were possibly well on our way to repeating the blowout loss in 2008.
  15. I wish these two lines were true, but Buffalo is a much more experienced team, and we're only 2-3 in title games in Cleveland.
  16. I don't know how you know this, but if it's true, that's a very comforting thought
  17. It is pretty funny when you think that probably our best team ever (2007) got snubbed from postseason play. Something is definitely wrong in Selection Committee Land. But, I don't think it's ever going to change. I'm not sure if this season was Keith's best job of getting the most out of his talent. At many times we've had a team that played below its talent, so he may have been more deserving in other seasons. But, I think he did alot to grow a team with plenty of newcomers into a winner. And also, if you look around at Coaches OF The Year, I think you'll find that winning the league title is a major factor. We've finally won the league. Maybe the bigger question: Who else could possibly even get it? Maybe only Reggie?
  18. Let me throw this out there. I think we've proven that we can wear Ken+ down over 40 minutes in our two games against them this year. On the other hand, I think OU has been much tougher in that respect. So, if I had my choice, I'd rather see OU have to play 4 games, rather than Ken+.
  19. I noticed that when I read the story too. I have no idea what she is talking about there.
  20. It would stink being the #1 team in the MAC and only getting one seed higher than our 6th place MAC team got last year. However, I don't know how you can really get much higher with a 50-60 RPI and 10 losses.
  21. I think this is IDEAL if Ken+ ends up at #4, as is projected. You play your A$$ off for the #1 seed in order to have a chance to get the most favorable matchups prior to the Final game. And between Ken+, OU, and Buffalo, I'd say that Ken+ is the best matchup for us.
  22. Attn: Mr Porrini YOU JUST LOST YOUR 3RD GAME IN A ROW TO AKRON Gotta love that Ken+ State education.
  23. He may have been thinking the same thing when he just let that guy run by him at midcourt during the OU game. I'm thinking you wouldn't say that if it would mean your 3rd loss in a row.
  24. Disagree completely. One of them would mean that we won several more games against quality opponents. One of them also means that we had many more appearances on TV, and far more publicity. Going all the way in the NIT would be HUGE for our program.
