believe me i would like to believe that JD has a clue about being an on the field coach....butt monkey alert...as someone said...but(t)...the problems that have come up in the last few years are to some extent his making...recruiting bad citizens...creating QB problems...choosing to run a defense that can't stop the run...he has created some of the internal problems himself...he took chances with a number kids and made bad calls..a coach gets paid to make better calls on recruits then know what to do with them on the field...no continuity...no forward movement...don't give me the high and mighty crap about 'what would i do'? what a lame response...ya if the ZIPS win the division or even go to a bowl game believe me I WILL BE THE FIRST TO SAY I CAN"T BELIEVE IT AND I DIDN'T PREDICT IT...gues we ALL have a 50/50 chance of being right now don't we?...into the 4th year he gets paid a lot of money to put a more consistently competetive product on the field...if some of you so called fans out there are such mavens of the game go make a living at it...JD would be selling insurance if he wasn't getting a check from Akron...

Seems the Athletic Department is assuming since it has created all this hype about the new stadium it all us fans will show up to watch crap on the field...lets all get on 'gozips.com' and e-mail everyone from Rhoads on down and let them know 2 years is a long time to wait to watch anything more than a mediocre MAC team at the Bowl...seems like this coaching staff is looking more and more like the Keystone Cops than a dynasty...they want the fans to come out but put nothing on the field to make us want to watch...no improvement into the 4th year...i've sent e-mails to the Athletic Department staff before..they do read 'em...at least let them know directly this is BS! thats GOZIPS.com send it!

i'm getting real tired of this 'there's always another problem' crap out of Brookhart's teams..he created the QB problem and refuses to make a final decision and move on...my opinion is he really doesn't like Jacquemain because he is as i have said before 'a statue' and he has made plenty of mistakes for an entire season...did ya watch the UCONN game? stared at a linebacker with the ball in his hand and got buried,then let the clock run out because he couldn't think fast enough to manage the clock at the end of the 1st half...he's a stiff but Brookhart won't...as my dad used to say, 'S..t or get off the pot'...the ZIPS are going nowhere with this offensive setup and the defense couldn't keep me from running to the bathroom...GEE ONLY 2 more years until the new stadium...i can't hardly wait can you?

ok lets have some fun,,,about halfway through...we have seen or heard about everybody in the MAC...lets pick from top to bottom the best teams,,,AND who will win each division...we have a pretty good idea of who cuts it and who doesn't by now...remember this is for recreational purposes only...nothing personal...my picks are by division with the number indicating my 'opinion' about that team's overall ranking in the entire conference...WEST EASTBALL STATE(2) MIAMI(1)CENTRAL MICHIGAN(3) CAN'T(5)WESTERN MICHIGAN(4) BOWLING GREEN(6) TOLEDO (8) AKRON(7)NIU(9) OU(8)EASTERN MICHIGAN (10) TEMPLE(11) BUFFALO(12)Miami gets the nod because the beat BSU and IF they stay healthy they are likely the most solid team so far.Sorry folks but based on their inconsistent performance the ZIPS will have a hard time the rest of the way. can't slides in ahead of them based on a real solid road win at OU.Remember,just for fun; only my opinion!

5th game of the season..neither the offense nor unfortunately the defense look much different than last yaer...AND the defense was supposed to hold the fort for a while...well, can't trashed them...they were fortunate that can't didn't play last week like they played at OU...the offense is stagnant...the QB position is a mess..the running game is still inconsistent and the tight ends stink!...Jabbari is the ONLY go to wide out and teams are making it hard to get him the ball..the defense is giving up acres of yards on the ground and there is still no pass rush...when do we see progress COACH?

hang this one on Brookhart and his inability to amke up his mind about Jackson AND the ROTTEN DEFENSE!!!

BROOKHART needs to stop this crap with the QB's...either Jackson is on the team and plays or he is not on the team at all..if his behavior is that bad admit your screw up coach and move on...Jacquemain (and your D) aren't the answer...

actually sent an e-mail to Coach Moorehead's site at the AD...he actually responded on 2 occasions...very nice of him to take the time...seems like a fan type coach...anybody have anything on this?

:blink: WOW...lets get back to the task at hand...the ZIPS winning the division...if the Zips keep winning in the MAC can't can win all the games they want...AND we hope they do because we got the eventual tiebreaker...

sounds like the option to me! not Oklahoma but get 'em out in space 1 on 1...

they aren't going to run an entirely option offense...but its really not that tough to run the option 5-10 times a game....the coaches knew Jackson was not a pocket passer...thats the mistake JD made off the top...he decided Jacquemain was his QB...he wanted a drop back passer like he had at Pitt and like he had with Getsy...he does not have the O line to protect a drop back game...yet...help them out...move the QB...you open the middle of the field eventually...

i don't know what the coaching staff was trying to do with C.Jack in the 1st half Saturday but it looked real silly....with his mobility and Kennedy's love for running to the boundary,how about some triple or double option occasionally? with a big receiver like Jabbari and a blocking FB like the Tuze, run the option a few times and the D has to account for a bunch of people man on man...the QB draw stuff is too obvious and C. Jack doesn't disguise it very well...

GP1...relax a little...few of us who frequent this site want to see the ZIPS lose...EVER! BUTT(AR...AR) some of us may be a bit more subdued in our pre-season and pre-game expectations lets say...i know you were at the game yesterday...if so you would have seen me and others, i assume yelling ourselves hoarse...thing is some of the points you posted abou the what the BUTT MONKEYS were saying were true...JD admitted he needed to regain some control...thats why some kids were shown the door...and nobody really knows how this team will play against UCONN(ouch) Western Mich, OU etc. etc...in any event any win over can't HELPS make a season...BUTT they still have a LOT of work to do...

easy boys and girls...unlike can't not everbody is going to be as charitable the rest of the season...figure it this way....ZIPS HAVE to win ALL remaining home games...temple,OU and Central...have to beat buffalo on the road AND the big one...steal a game from either BG or Miami on the road...its gonna take at least 5 division wins...and maybe like '05 a tiebreaker

doug martin has done some positive things over at can't...what he needs to learn is that he IS AT can't...not michigan state....michigan....osu etc etc...if his guys were as good as he thought those balls wouldn't have been on the ground and that pass would'nt have been picked AND what i thought was the best play of the day...J.
