GP1...right on...i commented after watching the Army game that JD was off when he annointed Jacquemain...with a shaky O-line he needed some athleticism behind them to bail them out...Jacquemain is a 'statue'...on the D side unfortunately the ZIPS strength is against the pass,not the run...beat the ZIPS by running right at them and a semi-mobile QB...Mackey seems to be a great kid but he is a 'tweener'...not big enough...not fast enough...Edelman beat the ZIPS single handedly last year...they have a good secondary...JD made the mistake last year of getting pass happy against can't...you better run right at them and score some points to have a chance...

screw you guys who are 'waiting for the new stadium' thats at least 2 years away...AND chumps, there is no guarantee that 2 years from now the ZIPS will win anything...i know the pimps in the athletic dept are only biding their time until 2009 because they don't have to pay to go to the games AND are getting paid to pimp out the team and fans now by losing games to OSU, INDIANA etc etc etc...if they stopped sacrificing the 1st half of every season the team might have something left for the REAL games in the MAC...some of you people aren't fans, you are JOHNS

no, this NOT the best D in the MAC...but lets forget about the SACRIFICE games...hopefully JD has opened his eyes and finally realizes that as some of of us have already said...Jackson is the QB...the season rides on the Can't game...win, the ZIPS have a shot at the East Div...lose and well your season is in the sh....r...hopefully the D got acclimated to a running QB at IU and will be ready for EDELMAN next week...

i think IU may be a more dangerous game for the ZIPS than OSWHO...i agree that Tressel was not going to open the playbook against YSWHO or the ZIPS...IWHO has nothing to lose by not trying to roll the ZIPS...they have been a doormat inthe Big-10 for at least my 55 yrs on this earth...honestly if the ZIPS get it together for Can't i'd be much happier...

saw the 6 o'clock news...charley interview...anybody else detect a bit of a smile on charley's face knowing he is going to a winner?...seattle has holmgren who can coach QB's...they have experience on the offensive side of the ball...hell charley may pull a Kosar and end up in the Super Bowl with a better team...Savage,Crennel and rthe Browns are circling the DRAIN!

i've already been wrong twice hope its 3...but this could be worse than OSU...sometimes the marginal teams like IU play with more intensity than the big boys...the ZIPS are going to be a little flat anyway...only if the O comes up real big for the ZIPS...IU 35ZIPS 17

actually after what HOMEO did to CHARLEY they need to cut him...obviously Charley was not REALLY the starter...HOMEO has botched this so badly they can't keep CHARLEY...you don't bench the so called #1 QB in the first game of the season then keep him on the squad...bad karma

hard to tell against OSU...i do know that after watching army and osu some things pop out...the play calling gets CHICKEN in the red zone...the 2 back set is the ZIPS best weapon...the O coordinator is sending a bad message to his QB by calling the plays he is calling I.E. 'I don't trust you so I won't open the playbook'...Jacquemain is still a statue...ya better beat can't!!!

i'm the biggest Charley fan out here...just ask the people where i work...but not only is it time for charley to go its time for homeo to take the long ride out of town...in 3 yrs his teams are rarely if ever prepared on either side of the ball...he seems to be someone who THINKS he is smarter than he really is but is oblivious to reality on the field...nice guy to have a beer with...NOT A HEAD COACH IN THE NFL...i blame him in part for the QB problems!!!

there is a statue in the ZIPS backfield that looks a lot like Jacquemain...there is someone on the Zips sideline masquerading as an O-coordinator...what a gd shame to waste a real good DEFENSE with a pathetic bunch of coaches and players on the O side...you have a chance to take OSU and you can't do any better tahn that on the O side??? i don't care who you are playing...as coaches you can't let an opportunity like this to get away...get freakin' CJ in at QB...we need some mobility back there!!

zzzzzzZips moved the ball best with the 2 back set... it was mostly with a fullback but there is no reason you can't throw Allen and Williams out there at the same time or one of them with Kennedy...match ups for the defense become a problem with that set....but...Jacquemain has to be able to find more than 1 receiver or no set is any good...

yep i picked ARMY...guess they are THAT BAD...next 3 weeks makes the ZIPS season...that includes CAN"T by the way!

well lets start off by saying glad its a ZIP win!...lets do a different version of good/bad...GOOD-obviously JABBARI ARTHUR,,,he saved the ZIPS and Jacquemain from serious embarassment...O-LINE especially running...that was really the most effective part of the offense...Runningbacks...finally running in the middle(but Kennedy is dinged already)...Run D-Army is not very good but the line and linebackers controlled the run pretty well...BAD-Play calling in the "Red Zone' we saw the same movie last year...too many missed opportunities because of timid calls from the sideline...Kicking game AGAIN...i thought Igor was supposed to have a 'cannon'...again nothing improved from last year....and do we have to mention the punting game?! almost cost the game...again...sorry but Jacquemain ain't ready yet...if JD thought he was the better of the two QB's i want some of what JD is smokin'... Jacquemain is a Statue back there...when teams start blitzing him they may have to carry him off...and he doesn't throw the ball where it needs to be thrown,,,he ought to be buying Jabbari dinner for a month...he will make an O-line look bad...secondary looked a little shaky...if #5 for Army hadn't dropped the 'TD" in the end zone...too many open looks for a team like Army to get...Right now don't see much reason to believe these guys will win consistently against better competion like OSU,Indiana,CAN"T etc etc..

the peson who said 'its a great start for the conference' needs to find a front running team each week they can pull for...there ain't no conference wins...the way its set up now if you win you you keep playing at the end of the year..conference wins...BS

it seems odd to me that the people who complain about too much BIG TEN coverage in general and OSU coverage specifically by the local media are the 1st ones to respond when ol' mich goes down...the hard swallow and all that...i'm elated that the team from up north tanked...frankly THE most important game for me today is the one at 7PM at Cleveland stadium...how about the rest of you "ZIP FANS"...?

Well the new new season is finally here...excitement abounds...optimism is rampant...its also THE most critical year for this program since it went to 1-A-Brookhart is now a .500 coach...he has had time to bring in 'his' recruits...unfortunately a significant number of those have either been bad citizens or did not like the way things were going and are gone themselves...JD claims he has seen his mistakes...this year will be the year we find out if JD is a COACH and not just a recruiter...the new stadium is still at least 2 years away...can't is on the verge(it appears) of taking back local attention and momentum...if the ZIPS tank this year and lose even more support JD might not be around in '09 for the new crib...JD created some of this problem by some of the choices he made with recruits,doling out playing time,coaching duties etc...here's hoping they beat Army tonight,can be competetive against Indiana and can knock off can't...otherwise some of us are going to be real lonely at the Bowl this year and next...see ya at the game...
