This is like when mens basketball loses the Friday MAC games. A long weekend to stew over it. Damn, so close to the best Labor Day weekend in so long.

Still many of the same old issues, along with a few positives. Penalties and 3rd downs, like I said, are always crucial. Zips were dreadful in both categories. Turnover battle too, lost it late. Defense not quite good enough to force big plays in the form of TFL and TOs, but they do look much better. If I’m being optimistic, which I still am, we’re way ahead of where we were at this point last year. Of course, I hoped for more today. Especially after that 2nd play. Still 11 more of these things, hopefully they keep a short memory and make some adjustments on offense. Go Zips!

We’re not going anywhere with this DJ Irons. Simple as that. Receivers were open all damn day long. FRICK!!!!!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I am disappointed in the offense. Extremely disappointed.

2022 all over again. Somewhat concerning honestly. Zips should be up a couple scores considering how both teams have played. Very incomplete game by Akron.

Offense not doing a very good job of taking what the defense gives. Now our D has to step it up to keep the lead. They’ve done more than their fair share so far.

Tough break on the big play. Temple getting into a groove. Hopefully the Zip offense didn’t cool off with being off the field for so long.

Can’t complain at all. Changed up the offense when they needed to. Don’t love that they gave up points at the end as they continue to struggle against fast offenses. But considering the start outside of the 2nd play, this is just fine. Left plenty of points on the board and still up 2 scores. Finish!

Beautiful drive there. Love that he opened up the playbook. Nice pitch and catch to DG and great push by the line.

Temple was going to get into a groove eventually. Much easier for them when they’re back on the field instantly each time. I think one more series for DJ and if they can’t get a first down may have to try something else.

DJ really struggling. Protection and open receivers are there all day.
