It has a ton of tradition. Unfortunately it all revolves around failure.

If it's not name after something/someone already, name the court after him. Akron doesn't have a lot of sports tradition. This would remind fans of success when they are in constant search of negativity.

Harvard, yes. OSU, no. There is a great book about the Harvard Business School called The Golden Passport. It goes through the decades of HBS. The central question centers around whether or not HBS is helpful or harmful to the country. Looking at facts, it's been a disaster for the county.

I broke one of my own rules picking my bracket this year. I try to pick upsetters based upon late season performance. I passed on a late surging Duquesne. I'm in one of those polls where you get a point for win and the difference in seeding if you pick an upset. I was at least smart enough to pick NC State to the Sweet 16. I also put too much faith in Kansas. They were overrated all season and it showed. None of it really matters. I had Kentucky losing to UNC in the finals.

Freeman is going to have a lot to think about in the coming months. I'm not an NBA expert, but I do know it's extremely hard to make and the talent level is the best in my lifetime. In my opinion, Freeman is not an NBA player. He was advised to stay another year to improve his talent level, but I'm not sure he improved enough for the NBA. With that said, I think he could have a great future in professional basketball and should talk to a lot of people to understand how. I'm hoping he spends some time with former Zip Jammal Ball to discuss his professional options. Ball had a long career in mostly France for 14 years, Germany for two, and Kosovo for one. I'd rather spend 14 years in France than some NBA D League Hell hole of a city for a couple with little opportunity for the NBA. Talk to him Enrique...be prepared and come with good questions. Be open minded. It's a big world with a lot of opportunities for people like you. You are a massive success already and your just getting started.

Getting back to the Zips.... Bad loss anyway you slice it. They didn't complete nearly as well as they did against UCLA last time. Disappointing.

KD is a Zip and he had success. I'm happy for two of our alumni as Dru is part of his team also. This is a good thing.

Alabama should have saved all the money they have spent on football by cutting their football program after their first national championship in 1925.

My personal experiences with him have been very positive. Has he made mistakes? Yes, but they aren't front page disasters as in the past. His mistakes are very low key to the point the local media cannot even blow them out of proportion. I see a President who is using social media to stay in contact with students, alumni and the general NE Ohio community. I see him engaged with alumni at mixers around the country. I see the dorms are full. I believe athletics as a whole are progressing nicely. I'd hire a new Akron graduate if I needed someone. I believe the faculty is strong. It all points in the right direction.

When was that chance? At the time the stadium was built, the football program was relatively successful and looked to have turned a corner after a mac championship.

The last time the MAC had a coach as good as him was when HE was at OU.

I agree. The City of Akron is much better now than when I lived there 16 years ago. It's good to live in a city at some point in your life even if it's only for 4 years.
