  1. In the living room, drinking a Sycamore Brewing Sun Grown. Go Zips! I didn't know it was going to be a Blue Out.
  2. Nice looking QB against national championship level talent. Accuracy is the key in college and he has it. I'm feeling better.
  3. I don't mind 9 PM start times on Friday night, but I'm not able to attend the games in person either. I can go to dinner with my wife, have some drinks, come home and have some more drinks during the game. When the game is over, I have no drive home. I'll just walk upstairs and go to bed.
  4. No, but highly unlikely.
  5. Interesting, but I don't care that much. He can be someone else's problem.

Toledo played a great game in a loss. People who think the MAC stinks and cannot compete against other G5 schools are just wrong. In fact, the G5 bowl games are very interesting. Give me a G5 conference. Well be just fine.
  7. They have 8 months between now and the first game.
  8. I agree with everything. OSU did have bad QB play, but they also have one HS All American QB after another on the team. They had 30 days to get one ready and another ready as a back up. It's a football factory and the production line is broken. 12 team playoff and a cake schedule guarantees they will get a post season beating next year as well.
  9. I don't give much weight to bowl games, but OSU looks like a program in decline. Missouri is a low level SEC program having a once in a decade season.
  10. I want P5 guys if they are from winning programs, which is the case here. Not interested in guys from Vanderbilt.
  11. Glass Half Full: He's a good player who is being pushed out because Missouri is on the rise and getting better players coming in behind him. Sort of lost in the shuffle. Glass Half Empty: Decent talent who didn't do enough to develop himself so he didn't see the field at a historically average to below average SEC school. I'm going with glass half full.
  12. It's a membership organization.

I'm not certain other than kicking a guy off the team there is anything to do.

The MAC doesn't have a problem. EMU needs to do something first to make a statement.

It is assault. It didn't happen during the game when someone loses control of himself after a play. It was preplanned and took place well after the game. Should have been taken away in handcuffs.
  16. If you are going to win a lot of game, you have to win a lot of different types of games. Tonight, the Zips played a bad team that played great. Tip your hat to GWU. They played great. The Zips handled different runs by GWU, kept their composure and won. A good night.
  17. Or, they could join the other G5 conferences, set up a football division with one commissioner and leverage their numbers against TV networks and P5 conferences.
  18. They can get out whenever they want. It will cost them $600 million, but they can do it. It's the contract they signed.
  19. You're right. It's now or never. If a kid wants playing time and doesn't find it at two different schools, maybe the kid isn't good enough for FBS football and should just go to school or find some satisfaction in riding the bench.
  20. Scholarship offers have become pee wee league participation trophies. They hand them out to kids in 9th grade now.
  21. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-least-minutes-played-in-2023 Here are a bunch.
  22. Ok. I'm still missing something. If the storyline was so great ESPN would want to use it, why wasn't the game on TV the other night? I'm also not sure how showcasing your program in NE Ohio at a high school gym makes a program look anything other than high schoolish. Again, maybe I'm just too stupid to understand the greatness LBJ has that can make everything in the world better, but I'm having trouble swallowing all of this. Maybe I live too far away to be able to see the greatness. I should watch more Duquesne basketball to see all of the high school all Americans KD has recruited because of the LBJ association. I'll check out their schedule so I can see all of the high level teams KD has beaten this year because after all of these years there his program has to be capable of doing so and not piling up wins against cupcakes like he did at Akron. I have a lot of work to do.
  23. Ok. What are the benefits? Let's say the AD at Duquesne somehow gets strong armed by LeBron to hire Dru and Dru turns out to be the Coleman Crawford of the A10. What happens then? Can't fire him because your afraid of LBJ. Can't keep him. Fire the AD?..... What kind of AD are they going to get who is OK with not being able to fire a "family" member of LBJ's? If anyone really thinks about this, LBJ making decisions for a college basketball program he doesn't work for is laughable. He lives OSU....How many decisions is he making for their basketball program?.... Zero. OSU didn't even want his talentless son and OSU is not a good BB program.
  24. Maybe I don't pay close enough attention to basketball, but is the MBB floating around in a swimming pool of money on a Zippy floaty? Let's be honest about the impact of LBJ's money. His school is currently being out performed by APS. When I live in Akron, they passed school levy after levy promising the kids would do better. Every time they passed one, the kids got dumber. It's a horrible school district. I agree Dru will get his shot. It won't be at Duquesne. The A10 is a very good mid major conference with highly competitive games every night. It isn't a conference for rookie head coaches, unless you are one of the less desirable programs. Sports are results oriented. Dru doesn't have any actual results as a head coach. Any AD who hired him would be placing their career in great jeopardy. He'll need to produce results at a lesser school or become a assistant for a few years at a powerful basketball program.
  25. I didn't know Michael Jordan was a supporter of Duquesne basketball. Contrary to public opinion around NE Ohio, LeBron doesn't have sway over all things basketball. KD has been at Duquesne for around 7-8 years now. Where is all the talent LBJ raked in for him? They are still playing a Mickey Mouse game at a high school gym for crying out loud. Either LBJ is landing great talent at Duquesne and KD is under performing, which I reject because KD has a track record of getting the best out of lesser talent, or LBJ really has no influence in recruiting.
