I didn't know this. It's alarming. VA Tech is a horrible, losing program and he couldn't play there? Let's bring in a QB from a winning program.

College football is in the process of realignment into new divisions but most fans don't see it. We need stay where we are. Ideally we could make changes with the rest of the MAC and G5 conferences, but the people who run those conferences are too stupid to see what's happening to their employers.

Eli Manning once described how you know when an offense is in sync during a game. Basically, the offense can get a first down on any down. That's when you're killing the defense. I'd be interested to know how Akron measures under this standard. We're always fight for third down first downs.

Agree. They also need to make his early game touches more productive. When we use our RBs, the production needs to be consistent throughout the game.

We should be 4-1 and in first place in the division with enough opportunity in front of us to make the day after Thanksgiving game meaningful. Instead, here we go again......

I still can't believe they lost. Buffalo is a terrible MAC team. Between the Zips and the marathoners, there's a lot of crap to clean out of athletic gear this afternoon.

We don't have personnel problems in these areas.

I don't want an average MAC QB. I want a top notch MAC QB. That's how you win and compete for league championships. I don't want to be the NC State of the MAC. We can do better than that. If Wake Forest can get top level ACC QBs, Akron can get top level MAC QBs.

The Zips have one position badly underperforming. I'm guessing this fix needs to take place in the office season. By fix, I mean rebuild the QB room.

All he did was use him to hand off five times, scrambled for a sack and throw the ball to the cook at Europe Gyro. I'm guessing he's pretty disgusted with his QB room.

U had zero situational awareness when he threw that ball. So much optimism, so little D1 QB play. Akron has to have one of the worst QB rooms in the country. There are people in it, but nothing in it.

7 points given up in the first half of a conference game. That can only be described as very good defense. Akron cannot blow another very good effort by this defense again.
