Ouch. What awful news. Rasor states that his UA career is likely over. But if Bain is only a junior this year, wouldn't he get to play his senior season if he tests clean? And does anyone know what the banned substance is? Andro?

On the front page of Ohio.com they now have a link to a story on Bain. I clicked it and it directs you to Rasor's blog. I don't know if that's a good idea having a link on the front page of Ohio.com to a blog story. The blog is there for rumors and speculations as well as for any yahoo (myself included) to throw in their 2-cents worth.I hope the ABJ sends Gaffney to the football offices to finally write a real report about this situation. Put some effort into this story ABJ and give us some facts!

I put that up there because I trust Rasor when he says he has multiple sources, so I don't consider him "any yahoo." We often put up blog links in that spot when it makes sense to do so.

For crying out loud, I wasn't saying Rasor is "any yahoo." Good grief. I was saying that "any yahoo" can leave comments on his blog. Which is true.

I think it is fine to link to it. It is topical. I would like to see a full story on it though. Pick any angle.DK, I don't think B&G was calling Razor a yahoo, he was calling the responders to the story "any yahoo"

Damn those sesame seed sticks.
don't you mean poppy seed muffins? or is there something i am missing about sesame seeds?
I wrote sesame seed sticks to illustrate how absurd the original report was. Poppy seed muffins on the other hand are serious business. These are what they feed members of the rifle team. After ingested a couple of them the target bullseye looks as big as a bushel basket.

I hate to add anything potentially negative to this already difficult story. I can not believe that Bain is suspended for the year on his first positive test. The athletic department does do random testing and I am guessing that Bain had to have messed up several times to get to a year suspension. If the product was an accidental GNC product, you would think Bain would avoid that product in the future, not get hit multiple times.

Do you not think that the Athletics Department could have used a stiffer penalty then what previous NCAA violations dictate in order to stem any possible NCAA sanctions on Bain or the program itself?

We'll never definitively know since the athletic department obviously has zero integrity.

Zero? I'd like to hear you back this up with evidence. If NCAA and University rules prohibit the dissemination of this information to the public, wouldn't they be acting with integrity?

And this one was said to be not playing for a false reason...injured foot, huh? I believe that's the "zero integrity" w00t referred to.

Any word on how his foot is doing???? He must be really tough, initially he was only supposed to be out 2 weeks and what are we up to now, 9-10 weeks??? Must have been much worse than what he initially thought???? You know, I'm sure it was for medical reasons. Damn Ohio laws. Good for us the Athletic dept. doesn't let little things like this cloud our judgment. Seriously folks, this is complete Bull$#!+ If this is really what happened, I'm very disgusted with the spin that has been put on this. It is completely unacceptable in my eyes. At a minimum the official word should have been that he is having compliance issues with the NCAA, not that his foot has been injured for 2-1/2 months. :puke:
