ZachTheZip
In between the Football team's frustrating collapse and the Soccer team being forced to give up home field advantage, it's easy to forget that it's basketball season.Akron takes on EKU tonight in the third game of the Legends Classic. I don't know much about EKU, but I think it's safe to assume that they will put up more of a fight than Urbana, but they should also be more beatable than Pitt. This team continues to progress at an incredible rate. They should win the final two games in the Legends Classic.

I think that you add Zeke to this team and who knows, a top 25 rank might be in the picture. However, we need to find a way to be more consistent on the offensive end. Our defense is amazing for how young a team we have. I think we'll do fine, just gotta get the offensive side more consistent. And I don't know about you, but I think we need to play Swiech a little more each game to at least get him some more experience but also to keep the excitement he brings. bUAkronG
I will be in C-bus with the family so hopefully I can steal a computer to listen to the stream. Does the game start at 7:00?
The Hip Zip
I have a feeling this is going to be a tough one. EKU has played well so far this season and their lone loss was to a pretty good Texas Tech team.Looks like the game will have some pace to it as they have put up 83,91 and 84 points in their last three games. They have a guy named Rose that can throw it in the hole from anywhere and a decent supporting cast. I would not be over confident at all and view this game as a solid test for the young Zips. johnnyzip84
They're going to have to grow up really fast to even make this a game.EKU 26UA 14I doubt the game tomorrow will be a whole lot easier, playing on FDU's home court. Quickzips
Zips back to w/in 1 on a Hitchens steal and a layin w/ a couple McNees 3's. Would love to sneak outta here w/ a win. Learning experience for the Zips. Sounds like EKU is throwing some weird zone's at us.
johnnyzip84
2 3's by McNees and a steal by Humpty and the Zips are within 1.
johnnyzip84
54-54 with under 4 min left. Frenchy and Dunn are complaining a lot about bad foul calls against the Zip defense. B McKnight is playing with 4 fouls.
Quickzips
4 point play for EKU, they're up 8 w/ under 3 to go. Looking like a tough loss for the Zips tonight. Definitly a learning experience.

Deeustin89
Akron jacks up quick 3's and turns the ball over repeatedly down the stretch to help EKU to an 11-0 run and in the blink of an eye Zips are down 11.
Dave in Green
Now is the time to make mistakes and learn. The only thing that matters is winning the MAC tournament. Everything leading up to the MAC tournament should be about learning what to do and what not to do. From listening to the radio broadcast, there were plenty of lessons to be learned tonight. Captain Kangaroo
what was the final score?EKU 69UA 57OVC OVC OVC I agree. A double-digit loss to an OVC school, on a neutral court, sucks. The Zips seem to be slowly solving their shooting issues. But rebounding is another story. 15-0 run to finish the game for EKY? At least Frenchy has had plenty of practice calling games like that this fall.
