RootforRoo44
Gotta love seeing a classic example of a product of Can't State cheap shotting a Cardinals player with punches to the back. James Harrison should be suspended for multiple games.
pdt1420
Don't worry, it amounted to a 6" penalty... there is justice in the world
liljc
Shame on the NFL for not reviewing that last play. The whole world watches the Super Bowl and to let it end like that on such an obviously review-worthy play is downright descipable. We all deserve better than that! Valpo Zip
I punching a guy on the floor multiple times and pushing him around didn't earn that Can't state Thugh an ejection, i don't know what would. Regardless of who you root for (Browns, steelers, cardinals, etc...), and let alone our feelings towards the thug factory in Can't, NFL should take some serious actions against Harrison. GP1
Most of you Browns fans would give your right nut to have Harrison on your worthless, losing team. Harrison has more fight in him than the entire Browns team. That's how you win Super Bowls and Defensive Player of the Year Award in the NFL.Suspended multiple games for punching one of your precious white guys in the back? Give me a break. Some of you are just stupid beyond belief. I was in Pittsburgh for work a couple of months ago and went to a Penguins game with my brother. We had tickets in the igloo club and Harrison was sitting a couple of rows in front of us. Between periods, Harrison hung out in the club (didn't have a single drink) and signed every autograph and took every picture people asked for. He was friendly to everyone. Didn't seem like a thug to me.

We all deserve better than that!Maybe the replay booth saw that when he was hit, the ball came out before his hand went forward. Maybe the only reason the ball went forward is it was knocked out of his hand before going forward, landed on his arm and went forward because it was knocked loose from his hand prior to going forward.Oh well, at least Warner has the best wife money can buy. Dr Z
In an attempt to make this a Zips related thread. I think it was the 2000 game at Ken+. One of the coldest games I have ever attended. The game the Dwight Smith was amazing.I happened to be walking into the stadium as Ken+ was coming out of the locker room.Every Ken+ player looked like they didn't want to be there, walking like zombies on to the field.Except for one guy, he was shot out of a cannon, jumping up and down, yelling and whooping it up.Pure energy. I looked at my friend and said I don't know who that Harrison guy is but I think I wouldput a few blockers on him until he tires out. He'll go down in the history of the Super Bowl as making one of the greatest plays, and then ruining his chance as a SB MVP by getting caught punching an opposing player. I wish the Zips had three of him on our defense.

Are you telling me that you have never heard the SuperBowl Champs referred to as World Champs? What other country is playing football and would represent a challenge to the title? You might have an arguement in baseball, basketball or hockey as there are other professional leagues set up, but football? Do the Steelers have to go up and beat the CFL Champ to earn that title in your mind? The Steelers are the World Champions in football this year and next years Superbowl Champ will have the same title.

Didn't seem like a thug to me.Of course as a browns fan i would take Harrison on my team. Then again i'd take Satan, Hitler, and John Wayne Gacy if they could win us a Super Bowl. That's not really the point though, he punched someone in the back and CHEATED and should get a massive fine and suspension for doing so. Also, I'm not really sure what race had to do with it? Actually trying to make this something about race is something a Can't State left wing nutjob would try to do. GP1, is that where your allegiance lays? Dr Z
That's not really the point though, he punched someone in the back and CHEATED and should get a massive fine and suspension for doing so.What is your point, he committed a penalty and got penalized? Cheated? Cheating is when coaches are stealing signs from the other team, not when somebody "punches" someone. If he did get a fine and suspension how does that change anything? I have to agree with you here, we must be stupid beyond belief. Harrison should be allowed to kick people in the nuts and punch them in the face, as long as he is signing autographs in the penguins games. Dr Z
I'm interested in watching the replay of the game on Wednesday night. NFL Replay is probably one of the greatest things on tv for fans of the NFL.Listening to NFL Sirius Radio, Pat Kerwin is saying that James might have got hit in the crotch to create the reaction that he had. Pat was on the forty yard line at the time. Here is the punch to the back of his shoulder pad, looks like the flags actually come in from the big push to the chest after the punch. Why does race always have to be brought up in situations like this?If it's a white guy who hits a black guy, then all the blacks call it out as an act of racial hatred. Then if the roles are switched white guys piss and moan about the double standard that exists(not that that happened here, but I'm surprised it hasn't yet). Can't we just admit that Harrison is a great player who made a scumbag move? Everyone has their moments. Perhaps he was being held all day. Does that legitimize what he did? That's really a question that's subjective to the opinion of the fan. No one can argue one way or the other. Let's move on. There's more important things going on in the nation(zipsnation, that is). And as adults and college graduates/students you should all realize that.
