So, to pass the time, I was wondering if you had to pick a second favorite MAC school, which one would it be? For me I would have to say CMU. They were kind of my "Hometown" MAC school when I lived in Michigan. In the East, I would say Buffalo as I think we are similar schools. We aren't some school way out in the country where we can provide a controlled environment to protect our students from the real world.

I would have to go with WMU due only to the fact that my wife went there. As for the east, I went with OU. Not that I am a big fan of any other school in the east but at least they gave us "The Voice of the Zips" Steve French.

Ok seriously, who picked Can't?
I didn't vote for Ken+, but I can see why somebody did. How do you interpret "favorite"?I hate Ken+, but I like to beat them too, if you are better than your rival and you beat them most of the time, you might "like" them.Did people vote for Buffalo because they like their fans and don't mind loosing to them? Like their logo? Because they say aboot?!?

I picked Can't and it's sort hard to put in words exactly why. First off, things just wouldn't be as interesting without odd cant to kick around.Secondly, if I had to pick which games (besides Akron) I would watch, Can't would be on top. I'm definitely not saying I would root for them, but I would be most likely to watch them.Third, when we are good and Can't is good, things are more interesting. This sounds like #1 but the difference isn't that subtle.Fourth, if UA never existed and I never went there, then Can't would be most like the hometown team. Sorry. It's true. Fortunately we don't have to live in that hypothetical dimensional universe where UA doesn't exist, and life is good.BTW, I'm not saying I would have gone to Can't. I got accepted to OSU and they were my second choice, and I never applied to Can't.

If the poll question were, "What's your favorite Big-11 School", and some one picked Tosu, would you ask that question? Same diff.

I like any of the above teams when they beat Cant.Other then that I would say the Canadans. After going up there the last few years on Rowdie trips, MAC Championship, and Last game at the Rubber Bowl, I have to go with them.

It is easy for me to pick my second favorite MAC team - OU. That is because I was born in Athens and both my parents and 1 aunt and 1 uncle all graduated from there. I picked Akron over OU when I went to college based on better ratings for the EE program, having friends in northern Ohio, and also due to being a bit scared of the party lifestyle at OU keeping me from graduating!Toledo is also a pick as I always admired their football success and they did have Klinger pushing the city of Toledo (reference to Jamie Farr of MASH), plus they are also an urban school like Akron. I agree with the consensus here that another good pick is Buffalo due to they being like Akron and Toledo, urban colleges.

NIU because they were my favorite team to use in NCAA Football (we had a league and you couldn't be a homer)Ohio because of it's history and it's the campus I've been the second most amount of time on.

After what I read today about Toledo giving people tickets for parking in their driveways, you can have it. I'll stick with Mt. Pleasant.http://blogs.thecarconnection.com/marty-bl...driveway-pay-up
