joshgozips
Was down at the ticket office at The Info today to get my tickets and was told that there were less than 100 tickets left for Saturday's match. Was also told that there are going to be modifications made for an increase in Standing Room only area behind the goal near Shrank Field. Could push attendance close to 3,300. tbozeglav
Just called and it appears they are going to be doing standing room only behind the west goal at $5 per ticket. Not sure how thats going to work out, but...
ZachTheZip
They can't move the fence that quickly. My guess is we'll see an elevated seating platform behind the fence and above the sidewalk. At the last game, there were 300 free tickets to give away to the first AK-Rowdies to claim them. I don't think they were able to give them all away. It could have been because of Thanksgiving break, and I hope we'll see a bigger student turnout for this game. tbozeglav
So.... a little bit of an update on tickets. The game is probably going to sell out tomorrow. I got my ticket tonight and I was forced to get the SRO ticket as everything else was sold out. The SRO ticket, however, isnt for the grass hill east of the field... Oh no... this ticket is for behind the west goal. Akron's way of getting fans able to watch the game behind the west goal? Take down the blue tarp behind the west goal, fence off the entrances to the walkway, and charge $5 to stand behind the field's fence and watch the game. Kinda pathetic, if you ask me... tho I still bought it so I can at least be there. Ill try to get a regular ticket via the AK-ROWDIES, but I didnt want to take any chances with that. Please Akron.... when you build the new stadium... put a grass hill behind the west Goal. That's great news, with the ability to reenter, i will be heading to the west side to watch through the fence for the second half to heckle me some Tulsa goalie. Yeah, I found that cheesy and disappointing. I am physically unable to stand for that long, so I am stuck forgoing the whole event. Bummer. That's still very good news, though I love seeing the people sitting in trees. Maybe we'll see some people bring ladders? I wonder if they'll try to keep student out of the west SRO side. hmm..wait.. maybe we should just get a new soccer stadium? This whole turning away fans thing is no good (or is it great)

GoZips
I bought my tickets this morning at Infocision. Was told that they have plenty of tickets as they areadding some additional bleachers along with opening the west end zone. There were two "suits" looking over the west end fencing when I walked over for a look-see.I asked about additional porta-johns and they stated that they had that covered. The university is hoping for a crowd in excess of 3,500 people. Moreover, to help compensate for what will likely be the team's fifth record-setting crowd of the season, all four gates will be accessible to fans. Once again, the will call table will be available at 2:30 p.m.Additional Tickets...

Im still gonna try to get an AK-ROWDIES ticket
