MaxZIP
Pretty good first half. awful second half. ABOVE AVERAGE OVERTIME. Good but sloppy win for the Zips. Nick had a great game with a double double and his unmeasurable impact down low. Humpty needs to slow down and pass more often. B. McKnight came on late...other than that nobody really helped but Conyers. He had yet another solid performance.

They've been playing very well lately and they were at home. Do we have LOTS of room for improvement? Absolutely. But I'm pretty HAPPY coming out of Muncie with a W. MaxZIP
STARTERS MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS Chris McKnight, F 25 2-11 1-3 0-0 3 6 2 1 0 0 2 5 Steve McNees, G 28 1-6 1-4 2-2 3 3 2 1 0 2 2 5 Killing the zips. A combined 17 missed shots in 58 min. Throw in hitchens and you have enough missed shots for 2 games. Nick, Conyers, and B. Mc (late) ruled the day. Making freethrows is extremely important in the mac because teams are always going to be in the bonus. Hit 70%+ like the zips did today and they will win. Hit around 50 and you will lose. The MAC game is won at the line. Keep up the work from the line.

MDZip
Not killing the Zips - Conyers and Cvetinovic, both with a double-double. Wonder when the last time two of our guys had that happen?

ZachTheZip
That win makes up for the EMU loss in my opinion. On to Mount Pleasant. Now we need to root for Ball State to knock off Can't. That would make us the only East team to beat them and gets us an important tiebreaker. They are an athletic group of guys and they have that HUGE dude on the post. If they drive on Can't, they can beat em.
RACER
maxzip i started a thread yesterday about steve.he is giving us nothing on the offesive end.yet kd still plays him alottof min.steve needs to start making the 3-ball, or it will catch up to the zips.kd needs to play humpty, and roberts as much as possible.it's kd team he can do what ever he wants.i just think playing steve 20-30 min game is crazy. Steve just doesn't have it right now and the situation does not seem to be getting better. Humpty's numbers are pretty much right on with steve's for the season. Humpty is a frantic presence on the court and misses too many shots. Granted he is the only zip that can create his own shot. I just think the mac game is more suited for guys like conyers, roberts and nick. Play the game right and with controol. Knock down shots and play in position. Humpty and Steve are very talented players but Nick and Brett need more minutes while Steve needs less right now. Also, humpty and Steve are in the 60% range from the line. The team has been improving but having two30 min a game guards shooting like that from the line really hurts. At least Roberts knocks them down. I think he plays Humpty plenty. At least McNees can hold his own on defense. I think the last thing KD need to do is play Humpty more. Dave in Green
Another typically ugly MAC game. Another beautiful MAC road game victory for the Zips. The Zips obviously weren't too hot from the field in this one. But they won the rebound and free throw shooting battles, two areas where the Zips were thought to be most deficient earlier in the season.I could care less who plays well and who plays not so well in any given game as long as the overall goodness outweighs the overall not-so-goodness enough to get a win. I think he plays Humpty plenty. At least McNees can hold his own on defense. I think the last thing KD need to do is play Humpty more.I disagree. Humpty is the one guy that has the ability to lead us to a MAC championship. The last three games have proven that.Has he had some awful shooting performances? yes. Is he inconsistent? yes.But everyone has had their problems. The last three games proved just how valuable Humpty is. We were awful on Monday while Humpty sat out. We were lights out on Wednesday and Humpty was terrific. And today he led us in scoring....As I said in December...Humpty and Nic would get the lions share of the minutes at their positions. The other seven would have to earn the other minutes.I do like that the rotation has been reduced to nine guys that last few games....A very nice win after letting the victory slip up, up and away in regulation. We score 26 points in 20 minutes in the second half and then score 15 in 5 minutes in OT...Hmmm..
