Well, if they play like they did today, Akron shouldn't have too much trouble beating them. Of course, for some reason opposing players play the games of their lives against us in this tournament.

Had to leave the Q after the first half of this game. It was too painful watching Charlie Coles suffer through this debacle. If you ever think you suffered watching the Zips play an especially bad half of basketball, you cannot imagine how everything went so terribly wrong for Miami.With 2 minutes left in the first half, Miami had 7 points and 9 fouls. I have never seen anything like that in my life, not even close.I think the Zips would have matched up better against Miami than Ohio. But there are no choices here. You get whoever wins.Ohio will be a challenge for the Zips, even if they weren't spectacular tonight. The Zips will need to play defense at the same level Miami was playing, which was pretty good. But the Zips cannot afford to have an off shooting night as Miami did. The Bobkitty guards are really good, and the team plays the kind of swarming defense that gives the Zips problems. The Zips will need to bring their best game to the Q.

All I know is that we are 6-0 in our last 6 games at the Q. I can't argue with that. One more for a back to back championship. We have survived a couple not great games. Time to put it all together tomorrow night.

Left at halftime of that game. Had to, if we would have stayed for the second half I was in danger of falling into a coma. Amazing how you can go from such an exciting game for the Zips and Broncos to such a snooze fest for the big rivals Miami and OU. I don't particularly like playing OU. They have the hot hand right now. The Zips are going to have to have a little more of that first half effort from tonight and a lot less of the 2nd half effort if they want to win tomorow. Would have much rather seen Miami, and not just for the revenge factor. OU is a very dangerous team. Like most teams in the MAC, I don't think they can match up with us in the frontcourt, but man do they have some guards who can play.

Not true at all. On TV they showed a stat that Kool torched everyone who guarded him...except Jimmy Conyers who guarded him half the game and Kool had less than 10 points against. Great job Jimmy!Kool is a great player. I liked watching because you could tell he was playing for fun and love of the game. I wish I saw that at the professional level but I suppose that is part of what makes amateur athletics so special.

Kool is one heck of a basketball player. He can play on my team any day. There is a certain future HOF coach that always says defense is easy, find out what the other team does, and take that away from them. We didn't do that last night and still won. Lucky, maybe, but I'll take it. GP1 is correct in another thread where he said if you look back on most championship teams, you will find luck involved.
