MDZip
So they mention a kid who has a scholarship offer from the Zips, yet completely neglect to mention that another has a scholarship commitment from the Zips. Irresponsible journalism! 9. Scott County The Cardinals lose Division I prospects Chad Jackson, Dakotah Euton and Ge-Lawn Guyn but coach Billy Hicks returns juniors-to-be Tamron Manning and Isaiah Ivey, who are two of the state's top players in the class of 2012. Yes, completely irresponsible! In a report on RETURNING players, he didn't mention where ANY nonreturning players will be playing bball, not just guys going somewhere for their first year of college ball next year, but former high school players from ALL previous years were ignored in this pathetic example of "journalism." Unbelievable!
Quickzips
Abell is a guy that I would really like to see in a Zips uniform. This article lists him at 6'3", others have him at 6'4". Either way he is bigger than most of the guards we have now, everything I've seen and read says he is an athletic, multi-dimensional scorer in the mold of an Armon Bassett. Also love that we are looking into Kentucky a lot more. Lot of good talent down there, and with Calipari pretty much ignoring in-state recruiting right now it opens things up for someone like us to come in and snipe off some good talent. George Fant from #7 Warren Central is another one on the Zips radar who has high major potential.
Dave in Green
I don't think we're allowed to discuss this player on ZN.O, as he is described as "very athletic." But seriously, he was already mentioned on ZN.O here: ZN.O link Rivals.yahoo.com ranks Abell among the top 150 HS juniors nationally (148), and Rick Bolus' High Potential® Basketball Recruiting Service rates him in the top dozen of Kentucky's underclassmen: rivals.yahoo.com link Bolus link Rivals.yahoo.com indicates lots of interest from quality schools, including Butler: rivals.yahoo.com link
