wah wah wah... :cry::cry::cry:

Everyone in the world who takes themselves too seriously (which is, in fact, almost everyone in the world), are tired of LeBron.

It takes a closet narcissist to call out a public one.

We are all selfish creatures, and those of us who have been humbled by life hold in contempt those of us who have not.

I say, go Lebron.

MILK THAT MEDIA COW!

What a bunch of contemptuous crybabies. Screw 'em all.

Amen, Zen, and spot on! I've got no closet jealousy toward The King. I'm loving every nano-second of NATIONAL sports media saying "AKRON, AKRON, AKRON!" You go, LBJ! Don't let the little jealous serfs get you down.

Now Cleveland, on the other hand? Well they can go burn in h#ll every time they say that LeBron is their "hometown" player. Screw you Cleveland, LeBron's from Akron.

I hope LBJ joins D-Wade & C-Bosh in Miami while Cleveland averages about 3,000-per-game next year as they win maybe 5 games, & LeBron continues to give his now customary props to his hometown of Akron as he wins an NBA championship and another league MVP, while afterwards we hold a championship party for LeBron in Akron - where LeBron will always continue to live in the off-season.

Everyone repeat after me, "I am not from Cleveland. I am from Akron. Go smolder in h#ll, Cleveland."

I thought this was an Akron board.

What you say I cannot disagree with.

I happen to be a fan of some Cleveland sports teams, and I would in fact love it for LeBron to play here forever.

I was focusing on the crybabies in the media. They love having control. They are the biggest narcissists and egoists around, but they conceal their dirty little aggressions under the veil of professionalism and journalism. But they broadcast their insecurities ever time they take a rip on LeBron for controlling his own destiny, and milking them for more attention.

If I was Lebron and I had the world by the balls, I would give two shyts about these peons of the pen.

They're trying to stir the people's opinion against LeBron simply because he has the audacity to do what they try to do everyday, and that is simply to have influence over the topic of discussion.

They are the gatekeepers of information, and they don't like anyone who willingly dominates attention.

Someone tell me how it really cause you any sort of real pain to hear about LeBron again today, instead of Obama or the Gulf Oil spill?

Are we really pricked by this, or do we just feign injury because our ego's tire of the fact that we are still nameless, faceless players in life?

If UA was smart, they would have immediately organized a watch party in the JAR and invited cameras from ESPN to film the crowds reaction live and show the party/chaos during the latter half of the TV special. Considering he played half his HS games there and just had his camp there, I doubt ESPN could resist.

They are stupid so I'm surprised they didn't have something like this. How much ass kissing is enough? Half the expected crowd showed up to LBJpprecitation Day. Why waste the time and effort on a guy who didn't attend UofA and his only connection to UofA is the coach he played for his freshman and soph years of high school?

What would be in it for UofA?

On my way home from the gym this morning, a couple of DJs on Charlotte radio were blasting how obnoxious this whole thing has become. It was really funny too because they were discussing how in addition to declaring his team, LBJ is going to explain the origins of the universe during his ESPN special tonight. This whole thing is completely out of control and sickening. I will be glad when 10:00 PM hits tonight so I can turn the TV on without having to listen to it.

Good luck LBJ. Stay in Cleveland. You won't find a fan base as willing to kiss your ass as this one.

+another 1

Except, it won't end at 10 pm. If he signs with a team other than Cleveland, then the media will be all over the sad fan base in NEO and harping on LeBron about what he did to NBA fans in NEO. If he signs with Cleveland, then we'll hear all the "woulda, coulda, shoulda..." ..."had a championship, more endorsements, a piece of Madison Square Garden, followed in Jordan's shoes, yada, yada, yada." Please make it STOP!

+1

He's tainted his legacy with this whole media whore circus.
He signs with Cleveland, everybody forgives him. Don't post, "not me" because you are in the minority.

He hasn't killed anybody.

If he re-signs i think it may be the majority forgiving him but there will be a sizeable group of people who have had enough.

I am one of them.

If he leaves, he can be held resposible for several deaths that are bound to occur in the Cleveland area. Dan Gilbert hanging from the rafters in the Q, Brian Windhorst found dead from exhaustion after a 12-hour Twitter session, and a Bath township firefighter who dies heroically trying to put out the flames that go up on Crystal Lake Dr. in the ensuing riot.

while Cleveland averages about 3,000-per-game next year as they win maybe 5 games,

Cavs are still a playoff team with little or no additions without Lebron. The East is that bad. Basically, the Cavs are the Washington Wizards without Lebron. Jamison, Williams, Hickson & the others will string together about 43 wins and be the 8 seed.

The attendance won't suffer much because the season ticket base is already renewed & strong. It won't be sold out, but this won't be Stepien era crowds.

I won't put it past Gilbert to get in front of this before the end of the weekend with a clear concise plan for how to restructure the roster in the next 2 or 3 years to contend for a title. One benefit of the Ferry approach has been that they DON'T have too many long term contract anchors. They're a player in free agency in the next offseason, and I think you'll see them take a Dumars approach to building a solid team, rather than hinging on one stud player. Jamison isn't a bad start. They'll use 2010-11 to find out what they have in Hickson and Green, and then go from there.

I think the decimation of the Cavs is a bit overstated. Gilbert isn't going to let his franchise go down the tubes without a fight.

Go Zips!

You would be quite surprised.

I happen to be about a mile from there for my job. I haven't seen a single police car do down his road all day.

I live not too far from there, and while I rarely ever have reason to drive that road, I have heard that police have a street presence there. Also, I can attest to some interesting low level air traffic recently.

Free face time on ESPN.

I watch that chubby red headed reporter from ESPN report from outside of the JAR and you would have no idea it was the University of Akron.

I have yet to hear one mention of KD in the reporting. There is nothing to say he would be mentioned tonight.

The real question in my mind is, can we get Big Dog on national TV to "represent NEOH" and cry like a child if LBJ leaves?

Only if we could get him to regain 200 lbs between now and then so we could all have a good laugh........wait, isn't that guy dead? Seriously, isn't that fat slob that represented all that was holy about the Browns, Big Dog, in fact dead?

This is a national disgrace. Americans should feel a level of shame about this nonsense tomorrow.
I'm not sure why. One of the greatest things about being an American is freedom of choice.

If you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. Plenty of other options. It's like the guy that hates Rush Limbaugh

or Howard Stern, but listens to him every day and complains how much they hate him.

I've been telling you for years that ESPN has "jumped the shark" Why would this event cause shame?

Millions of people watch numbsculls "sing" on American idol and then vote (more than a presidential election),

that's a true "national disgrace."

I like the term LeBronukkah.

I don't disagree with a word you said. We should still feel a level of shame. Maybe shame isn't the right word. Embarrassment is maybe the right word. I'm embarrassed for the people who will waste one hour of their life watching this nonsense tonight. I'm embarrassed for any respectable sports reporter who has been dispatched to cover this nonsense. I'm embarrassed for a one time "news" provider (ESPN) both creating and covering the news. I'm embarrassed for LBJ who is starting to make a fool of himself during this period. I would be embarrassed for the NBA except David Stern has no shame at all.

At least it's the NBA and everyone will forget what happened by 10:15 tonight after LBJ declares he is staying with Cleveland.

He put Akron on the map, then Akron took him off theirs. You reap what you sow.

I'm guessing from the bent AKRON sign in the second image, people were throwing stones at the sign.

Source I saw this on Rasor's site.

Z chooses Miami over Cleveland. Will Cavs fans burn his jersey too? He can get his ring with the cHeat the way Bernie got his with the Cowboys.

You know what... Everyone is probably upset over Z leaving the Cavs for the heat, but you have to give Z the benefit of the doubt here. He's a 14 year veteran and all he wants is to get a championship. He knows he has only a few years, if that, left in his career, so going to a team that presents him the best opportunity to achieve that goal is perfectly understandable. Leaving now, considering the circumstances, really hurts us, but you can't sit there and not respect the guy after he stuck with Cleveland during the trade-and-buyout at the end of the season, his loyalty to the organization, and his endurance. Its hard to wish him the best of luck considering the "other" player on that Miami team, but I can't bring myself NOT to. I would much rather see Z get a ring than LeBron (because he actually deserves it), but I guess beggars cant be choosers.

and re: the LeBron sign posted above, there may be a chance they took it down after all the physical abuse it probably took (evidenced by the "Akron Corporation Limit" sign), NOT as a way to remove him from associations with Akron. Then again I could be wrong, but in this case, I would be inclined to believe that the city would go the more politically correct route and take the higher road.
