Quickzips
So much for Euton redshirting. Guess when you are getting hammered like this ya gotta make some tough calls? Could Brett McKnight be in a worse situation than we thought?
RootforRoo44
There goes Euton's redshirt.
bandzip
Suprised Euton isn't redshirting.
Quickzips
And it looks like a good decision to burn Dakotah's redshirt already. Grabs a nice board (something our other bigs are struggling with) and then comes down on the other end and knocks down a big 3.
bandzip
And a 3 from the big guy. Nice!
MDZip
Euton's redshirt is burned. Nice three though.
GoZips88
Euton in 30 seconds ... rebound and 3-pointer. Time to redshirt Bardo.
ZachTheZip
Euton is a big man who can shoot the three. Something we need if we're going to get them to ease off the pressure.
bUAkronG
dribble penetration by a guard for the final bucket of the half. we didn't learn much from the MACC did we?
GoZips88
Effective ten minute scoring drought. We really ought to apply for a patent on it. Pretty sure Captain will be filling out the paperwork during halftime.
ZachTheZip
I would feel better if we stopped them on that last play. Dambrot's got some coaching to do in the lockerroom. Too much nervousness out there. Dayton already played a D-I team this season, so they got the jitters out while we didn't.
Let'sGoZips94
Euton in 30 seconds ... rebound and 3-pointer. Time to redshirt Bardo. No!!!!!!!!! I mean, don't hold him back from experiencing the real world!
Zip Watcher
Finding the pony in the smelly room .. to be down only 11 after the drought they had against a good team is a positive sign. They could easily be down 20. Euton hits a big shot. Have to guess kd is not counting on b mck to be back soon if Euton has pulled off the redshirt. ZachTheZip
We should see improvement with Zeke back in.
UAZipster0305
We need some senior leadership to show up in the second half if we want to get back into this one. I still don't know why we have these 10 minute scoring droughts. It seems to be a feature of every big game that this program loses. Another poster said it already, we are lucky to only be down 10. Let's turn the tables in the second half!
BirdZip
What am I missing here on BMcK? I assumed when he played against Millikin his suspension was over. Apparently not? Run seemed to start when Zeke left.
ZachTheZip
What am I missing here on BMcK? I assumed when he played against Millikin his suspension was over. Apparently not? Run seemed to start when Zeke left. Maybe his "official" suspension is over. Doesn't mean he's out of the dog house.

Quickzips
Ok, let's see what we can do with the big fella back. Zips are getting killed on the boards and Dayton is unafraid to drive to the basket at will. Zips need to toughen up a bit here. This isn't John Carroll or Milliken, these guys are a real D-I team. If we are gonna win this one it is going to have to start on the defensive end. We can't give up 40+ in the second half again and expect to have any chance to win this thing. Defense has to get better. Guys have to start trusting each other out there on the defensive end.
Dave in Green
..... Run seemed to start when Zeke left. Classic understatement! Zips need Zeke in the game. He has to learn that he is too valuable to the team to commit silly fouls, like sticking his leg out when someone drives by.
K-Roo
It's called the "Akron Effect." Get excited about any Zips sports team. Build your expectations way out of proportion and then act surprised when we blow chunks. Happens every year. This year is no different than any other. This might be considered blasphemy -- but I'm waiting for the soccer team to lay the "Akron Egg" in the tourney too....
