In the 4th quarter it looks like we may pull this one out.

Up by 15, I'm not sure what will transpire in the time remaining so that I hit yet another prediction right on the nut.

Following today’s game on ESPN gamecast, another idea to increase student attendance at home games occurred to me. If you are a full time student with football eligibility and you show up to the game your name gets put in a hat and we draw names for the opportunity to kick extra points. I think a lot of students would be interested in doing this and we really wouldn’t score that many less points than we do on extra point attempts now. Probably should draw by quarters at the beginning of each quarter because if all the names get drawn at the beginning of the game, most of those who were not selected are likely to leave right away.

What an AWFUL call at a critical time. We can still blow it. Only in the MAC could a quarterback have the ball in his non throwing arm, get the ball slapped out, and then determine they have conclusive evidence that it was a forward pass. Ridiculous.

Let's see if they rule this fumble and incomplete pass as well.

MAC officials have unlimited screw ups...especially in crunch time.

Once again, the detestable prevent defense almost prevented a win. That and the unfathomable officiating call on the Buffalo QB fumble that had absolutely no similarity to a forward pass almost ruined the day again. But the Zips finally overcame adversity and came out on top. This one was definitely worth sitting out in a cold, empty stadium to watch.

You could tell the Zips players really, really wanted this one badly, and they earned it. Good for them!

More proof that the referees hate Akron. Such a blatant, "bad" call. i.e. they knew the QB is

right handed. They had been watching him for more than three quarters of a game.

Sure had me screaming at the TV set. It ignored me.

Was the QB out of the box? Who was the intended target? First thing I thought as the play unfolded

was intentional grounding. Why was the ball in his left hand? Bad, really, really bad officiating.

I think they just wanted to hang around a little longer in the cold

It is evident that the seniors were not going out with a loss and thank the football Gods for not denying the Zips! Thank You 2010 seniors for the win! Go Zips!

What no one has seemed to notice is that this has elevated the Zips to a tie for fifth in the MAC East. So much for those prognosticators who picked us to finish last in the East. So there! ;)

If it makes you feel any better, I know three board members who were screaming at the top of their lungs..."Intentional Grounding". They heard us, and ignored us too.
