MDZip
And today's poll question is Who's the greatest Akron soccer player ever? This one is really interesting. Most of our really great players lasted only a couple years at school. I believe that (we have won!) Pete Milich still holds the NCAA record for most consecutive games with a goal. In a field of great players (loved this quote - "Akron soccer might have the largest crop of great players of any sport in any MAC school") I might still have to stick with Milich. No, I didn't actually get to see him play.
Kangaroo Craig
Zakuani. #1 overall pick in MLS draft. He should have won the Hermann trophy. If I remember correctly they gave the award to some guy from Wake Forest.
johnnyzip84
Very tough call. I went with Evan Bush for longevity and what he meant to the teams of his era.
fknbuflobo
Very tough call. I went with Evan Bush for longevity and what he meant to the teams of his era. Pete Milich George Nanchoff Simon Spelling Shaun Docking Steve Zakuani Darlington Nagbe Some of the most talented played only one or two years. J. B. Amogua (sp)? And yes, I think Evan Bush was a better collegiate keeper than David Meves. Meves will need to be stellar this year for Zips to succeed. Zipmeister
NOBODY scored more than Andy Vadnay back in the 60s. He was a chick magnet.
zip37
Should seperate GKs from other players, so Evan Bush and Ampi get my vote.

I was trying to remember that name just last weekend. As I recall he was from Ivory Coast, yes? Fantastic player, first team all-America I believe. TheTank123
Roderick Scott Cool smiley! Look at Steve-O running away with it at 74% of the vote. Ha, the Sounders boards caught wind of the voting and it was all over from there.
ZachTheZip
Too bad we couldn't vote for the Nanchoffs as a package deal.
