Z.I.P.
Wistercil has added to his resume by choosing his first new head baseball coach.Guess what? He's a former K-ent State coach. And has a LOOOONG resume of victories, before heading to the ACC. Sounds to this observer like they got the best coach available. But I don't follow the sport, so whatta I know. Let'er rip. GoZips
Solid resume'. The kind of hire UA must have.
ZachTheZip
Our last coach was from Can't State, too. We keep hiring these Can't State guys, and they keep pushing our program down for the benefit of their old program. I hope this guy is different. But I'll wait to see whether the Zips actually improve before venturing out to sit on a wet grassy hill for a few hours with no fan amenities. 72 Roo
Z.I.P. don't count me as one of the critics of this hire. I feel he is a very good fit. The only downside would be if the fire doesn't burn anymore in his gut and he is here to get one more gig before he rides into retirement. That's alwways a risk, but I think he probably asked what was the vision for the program. My guess is that TW said he wanted to compete and he would slowly drive more resources into the program to give him the opportunity to win. TW would probably pick up if Coach R was out tp bide his time. So I believe he is here to make a statement with his alma mater's program. This is a good move. Thanks TW. Welcome coach R. Your school needs you. Go to it!

His resume' states that he played ball at Miami and graduated from Akron? What former Cant coach(es) ever came over to Zippyland and "pushed down" the Zips program? I count as one of my personal friends a long time former baseball coach at Akron. Pretty easy to figure out who if you are so inclined. His complaint about Akron was the "hind teat" syndrome. That is, the university did little or nothing to promote baseball during his tenure. Made recruiting impossible. Made winning impossible. Let us hope that coach Rembielak is provided with the tools to win. Pixy dust wont do the job. BTW, the last time I watched baseball at Akron was while sitting in aluminum bleachers. Grassy knoll? Were you in Dallas?

Then they could put in some "baseball seating"

Dave in Green
Let's be cautious here. I understand that Rembielak once vacationed in Florida at the same time as Wistrcill, which may indicate that Rembielak is one of Wistrcill's old buddies and therefore unfit to coach at the DI level.
