He mentions them right after he reveals that Hall has left the program. It's around the 4:00 mark. I'm assuming both Williamson and Favors won't be eligible until 2012, but I'm only speculating. Still, they look like decent "gets".

K92
JZ84, thank you for the information on Williamson and Favors. I was watching the video on a crappy phone connection when it got to the news about Hall and I wasn't prepared to take notes when he mentioned the newcomers who were totally unfamiliar names to me. You rock, Johnny!
Captain Kangaroo
If you were looking for an Ianello Pipeline, it looks like he's got one running from Warren Harding to Akron.

Thanks I guess I didn't have anything else to do last night I did see in the BJ article that B&G posted where Williamson is indeed not eligible until 2012, but Favors was apparently a 2010 grayshirt so he should be in the mix at TE this year I suppose. ZachTheZip
Speaking of the Buckeye game, did they send out tickets yet? Akron students have been picking up their tickets for about a week now at the ticket office. I don't know how they're distributing tix to the season ticket holders who ordered them. Quarterback – It will be interesting to see if "Paul Nicely" can hold onto the job after a mediocre season full-time in 2011 What happened to Patrick

Lee Adams
Anyway back to football. Its going to be really difficult to predict the Zips this year. Especially since nobody really knows how much or little improvement there will be just because the 'system' is a year old. The Temple game will likely tell a lot. MAC team that has really handled Akron the last couple of years. If they play well in that game coming off the OSU loss the rest of the season might not be too bad. Buckzip
The team has to be better. I am never one to challenge worse, but this team really can't be worse. Nicely has to be better. He has to be. If not, then Moore will step in. A year of familiarity in the system should help a lot.

ZachTheZip
@FSOhioZJackson: "Akron Zips piping in crowd noise this morning to prepare for Sept. 3 opener at Ohio State. Might be the worst sound(s) I've ever heard." Shoot. They could have asked the Rowdies to bring in their vuvuzelas if they wanted to practice with horrible, loud noises in the background. But then someone might actually see them practicing and we can't have that.
Dave in Green
I wonder how many schools have their football practices open to anyone who wants to view versus how many are completely closed like the Zips? I recall when I attended Louisiana Tech back around 1970 that the practices were open. My dad and I would sit in the stands and watch Terry Bradshaw practice throwing unbelievable bombs that seemed to go almost goal line to goal line on the fly. Being able to attend those practices made us even more interested in attending the games.
