ZachTheZip Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 We're not holding on to the ball very well. Quote
jem101 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Stream is now fine for me too. Stream is working but not the ZIps. Still no score with 8 minutes left. Does my memory serve me correctly that regular season has Golden Goal with no PKs if this is still tied? Quote

GoZipsGoZips Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Stream is now fine for me too. We are getting out-played in the second half... shades of Cleveland State last year. Shake it up Porter... surely someone on the bench wants a shot against this mediocre team. Quote
bigzipguy Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 20 fouls on Cal St, according to the announcer Quote
jem101 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 How much time is left? Minute left in the first OT. 11 total Quote
bmaker Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 How much time is left? One minute in first 10 minute OT. Quote
GoZipsGoZips Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 20 fouls on Cal St, according to the announcer first time I heard Barrett... Quote
jem101 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 From @NCAASoccer Akron ast coach Jared Embrick yelled at the Fullerton bench after Yedlin tackle, "that is the type of soccer you play, huh?" 0-0 2OT Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Their plan seemed to be to beat us up as a way to take us out of our game. I pray they don't get rewarded for it. Quote

Porter just said, "this is the biggest joke I've seen in my life." Quote
jem101 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Well, first draw of the season. Have to remember that this team is going to struggle at points this season. Plus, the refs seemed to be allowing a lot of hacking from CSF. Hopefully, this is something the young guys can build on and learn from. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Zips had better come to play with mouthpieces vs. Northridge, who are sure to employ the same tactics as Fullerton. I worry that this current squad hasn't enough scrap in them. When your team is fouled that often, somebody got to lay one of them out, just to show that it can be done. Who is the Zips' enforcer this year? Kitchen is gone. Michael Balogun, I am calling you out! You are the one to change the emotional momentum of a match if need be! Never let what happened tonight happen again! Quote
GoZipsGoZips Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 At least they seemed to lift the level of play in the OTs... the whole team.... seemed hungry for a win. What we were able to hear the second half (not much) was sub-par for this program. This draw... and a drop in the rankings... will maybe ground these guys a little bit and make them work harder. Can't wait to hear Porter... Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 A draw was to be expected at some point early this season. Like Porter said before the season, the team may not be ready in the beginning, but come tourney time, they will be in a good position to win it all. The goal is still nothing less than winning the national championship. Quote

bigzipguy Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Good comments by Porter. Unfortunely, many teams, especially mediocre ones, continue to employ thug tactics. Play thru it and try to get the job done. Quote
tnikles Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 where were the referees? For some reason, in America, referees tend to allow the physical play distroy the beauty of the game. I have read that all the European leagues have been cracking own on this. It is about time that MLS and the NCAA crack down on this as well or the beautiful game has no chance to be successful in the US. Sidenote: need to punish diving as well Quote
