RowdyZip Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 I sure am glad we got that field goal in. Gets us within 11. Quote

Gets us within 11. can't argue with that. the 2 pt conversion was insanity though.what happened? i can only see gametracker. They line up with the line all to the left of the center/kicker/holder then usually run over to the regular spot and kick it. This time they snapped it sideways to a DE who ran straight into the line and didn't get it. Quote

We should come to expect poor coaching as the norm. Quote
zippy5 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Not a bad 2nd half. Probably will see an onside kick with the 15 yd penalty on the kickoff.. Quote
zippy5 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 not. i'm fine with that, but I'm just not sure our D can get a big 3 and out. Quote
zippy5 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Wow big stop! credit where credit is due. RI with the smart FG and the kickoff and defensive stop. He's made some dumb decisions this year (even today with the 2 pt conversion), but not a bad job today. Still a shame that we need a last minute TD to tie a team with 2 wins. Quote
zippy5 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Wow. On one hand, Moore was red hot on the last two drives, but on the other hand, we had all the momentum going into OT if we kicked it. I don't know about that. Quote
you am i Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 This is first time under RI that I was proud of this team. Quote

I don't know about that.Coaches singlehandedly lose very few games. Ianello lost this one. I wouldn't be able to look my players in the eye. Quote

I don't think there was a wrong choice between going for it or kicking it. Everyone would be praising the call if he caught it. Quote

The Zips were red hot and the CMU defense had to be tired. If we just kick and extra point down 20-6, this isn't an issue.A three game homestand wasted. Quote
Zipmeister Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 The team looked decent in the 4th quarter. icoach did his Tom Osbourne impersonation at the end with the same unfortunate result the Huskers suffered against the Canes. I thought it was very classy of icoach to remove the paperwork from his pants before crossing the field for the post game handshake with the C.M. coach. Quote

Your odds are better in OT then gambling it all on one play. Quote

Wouldn't be talking about any of this if he takes his XP. Quote
