Aha! Sounds like someone was making a defensive maneuver to avoid someone from another school reading your joking comment and reporting it as something serious. Could have even been a UA employee reading the forum who did it. Of course, nothing would have come out of it as nothing wrong has been done. But it could have been a pain filling out the paperwork.Welcome back, GameChngr44! Never lose your sense of humor. :D

The Vulcans are a team to follow early on. not just because of Sweich, but because they play two of our opponents in the pre-season. It will be interesting to compare this game to how they do against VCU.
Nice to see that we'll be playing a decent squad. I'll let you know how Swiech looks when they come in. He scored 8 points and 4 rebounds on 4-8 shooting in 27 minutes before fouling out last night. Here's the box score from the game: http://www.muredhawks.com/sports/m-baskbl/...012/103111.htmlAnother fun fact. Cal U's leading scorer Quentin Harding hails from none other than McKeesport, Pa. and went to McKeesport just like Zips front-liner Zeke Marshall. It stands to reason that they must have been teammates in high school.A couple of Akron connections on this squad!

As a matter of fact DB...Quentin Harding and Zeke did play on the same squad when Zeke was a Freshman. Quentin also played on Zekes AAU team in the 17 up squad while Zeke was playing on the 16 under team..."small world"

This better not be a shot at me.I talk to the coaches all the time. However, I never mentioned anythingthat the lovely Nicole posted. Nor would I. I just sat back and watched. Her business is her business.Besides, I'm not a snitch. Maybe that person or persons meant well.Just rest assured that I am not involved.

Actually, Zeke and Q were teammates in high school zeke's junior year and lost to Moon and Brian Walsh in the playoffs. Walsh dropped 30.

I'm glad everything is cleared up. It takes a special player-parent to participate on a message board like ours. I can only count a handful that have really embraced the site in all the years we'd run it. You've been here even prior to Zeke's commitment, and that's really cool. Thank you.

Like I've said, this team is not as good as people on here like to pretend it is. They'll be playing .500 basketball at mid season and you'll be calling for KD's job. I'd like to see them succeed more than anyone, but having these unrealistically high expectations is not a good idea. Of course you'd give the "It's too early to judge" comments but oh well. Also very disappointed in the new uniformsGreat job on the MAC-Sports.com video feed
