That's exactly where amateur athletes should be.
CincyZip
Is there reason to believe it will only be for this year, so he can participate with the Olympic team? Has it been announced that it is a permanent move?
LZIp
now maybe the people who constantly defend him on here will be quiet.
Blue & Gold
Um, it's a one-year move while he practices w/ the US Olympics team in Vegas. I don't know if the PD article mentioned that, but I do know that Cleveland sucks. Go Zips! Go Akron! Fall into the lake, Cleveland.
Big Zip
I can't imagine it coming back. The Akron/Cleveland thing is so stupid it makes me sick.

Yeah, I don't get the Akron/Cleveland thing at all. I love both cities and cheer for every Cleveland professional sports team. I'm not sure why people feel the need to create rivalries instead of just wishing both cities the very best.

Speaking of which, the event is probably moving to Vegas for the same reason that the Cavs went from Richfield (summit co) to Cleveland; $$$

That was a devastating blow. Before that move the cities could have possibly have been said to have worked in cooperation. Cleveland+, whatever. Make absolutely no mistake & don't be deceived, the cities are competitors.

tbozeglav
the reason the factoid that its a temporary move wasnt reported is because the general populus of Cleveland still hates LeBron with a livid passion, so to play the strings of the angry cleveland sports fan, they make sure they leave out the bits that make things seem reasonable. Notice how we here in Akron have moved on and report everything as-is? Yeah... get a grip with reality, cleveland, and grow a pair. and while youre at it, take a look at Kyrie Irving before we lose him too. I will say that he seems to be the type that would take the lead role for a franchise, not follow someone elsewhere.
