I'm really hoping you guys can knock off Ohio tonight. Would love to see Akron get into the top 50 RPI to give us another top 50 win. You guys have been very impressive in MAC play.

I knew once we played your full squad late December that those early OOC losses were aberrations due to not having your full squad and have told everyone questioning your NCAA-worthiness that I've come across. Hopefully we both get back into the field again this year!

Best of luck to the Zips going forward! Beat the Bobcats!

Just checked out Ohio's forums.

Turns out Dambrot hates OU and it goes back thirty years ago to his days as an assistant under Bob Rupert(!). Dambrot hated those high and mighty Bobkittens because they wouldn't stoop to our level and schedule us. Oh, and Dambrot doesn't actually hate Ohio. He just says things like that to random reporters to get a dig at Can't. He's just evil like that.

Yeah, pretty interesting stuff...

Long week of the daily grind...auction yesterday in Barberton and one more today in Ashland. Just getting ready to put my feet up and have some fun watching the Zips spank that Bobcat ass.

Hoisting one in honor of Dr. Z!!!

A Zips win in Athens would be seen as a quality win in the eyes of many sports writers/bloggers. I've run across more random references to the Bobkitties on college basketball sites than all the other MAC teams put together.

Memories of OU's NCAA tournament upset of Georgetown 2 years ago along with their hot 12-1 start this season, with the only loss being a near upset of Louisville, continue to resonate among those around the country trying to figure out who is the best team in the MAC now that Can't is no longer dominant. Even OU's weak showing in the MAC this season hasn't completely killed some thinking that they will bounce back come tournament time.

For some reason, the Zips just can't get any traction nationally. They get some talk started with an upset at Mississippi State and then kill the talk with losses to lesser teams. Beating OU in Athens might start generating a little more national respect for UA.

This will be a tough game, and I only hope the Zips are well prepared.

OU fans are kinda whiney.

They are just idiots plain and simple.

Not sure what it is, but it seems like the past few teams we've played have just been shooting lights out. It's not even open shots, just ugly deep shots that are hitting too. I'd like to think their luck won't last all game but who knows. From the looks of it I don't have much hope for this game...

We are just playing flat out lazy!!
