Lee Adams Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Line is down to 3.5 It's dropping faster than Enron. Edit: apparently Miami will still be without standout WR Nick Harwell. Where did that come from? Quote
Lee Adams Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 getting 3 is still a good bet. My head says Akron by 1, but I'm going with my heart on this one - Zips by 14. AHHHH they are reelin' 'em in. Quote
gozips19 Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Don't think I've been looking forward to a Zips football game this much since the opener for the new stadium. Cautiously optimistic about tomorrow. Think we pull this one out. What I know is I'll be making awesome rubens. Quote
Spin Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 DOWN TO 2 NOW. Whoda thunkit before the season started? Where did that come from? http://sportsdirect.usatoday.com/odds/usatoday/ncaaf.aspx lists five different lines Quote
MontrealExposloveZippy Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I just talked to a Miami fan at euro gyro and he said, very calmly, there is no way the zips are winning!! Arrgggh horseshit!!!!! Quote

akzipper Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Our defense is an embarrassment. In reality the score would be almost the same had we not even fielded a defense for the first half. We had what, one stop? I don't know how you can even say at 1-4 you can look at this as a positive game. Quote
akronzips71 Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Down by one score. NOT pushovers. But we need to step it up on defense. Quote

akzipper Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Is it possible to get some of these dummies from practice? Maybe use them in the second half instead of using our defense? You may not agree with me, but if you think our defense is playing well you need to get your head checked. The offense is keeping us in the game, but football is about executing on both sides of the ball. You can't expect us to score on every possession. Quote
bUAkronG Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I know we just scored anyway, but I have a major gripe right now. Since when can they review penalties?? And on top of that, assess a penalty after review?? This would be the same thing as, after review, they had called off the touchdown on the Monday might game because of offensive pass interference. Regardless, did our defense remember that the game started at 2?? They have been downright horrible. Quote

WOW we held Miami to a field goal....time for a parade down exchange street! Quote
bUAkronG Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 1st and goal on the 1 and our defense gets a stop. Time for the offense to put 7 up on the board. Quote
ZippyRulz Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Dysert over 100 yards rushing.. Quote
akzipper Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 If we want any chance to win, we need to come up with a turnover. Quote
akronzips71 Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Anyone know what the over/under was on this game? And BTW, win or lose today, we are competitive. We were not the last two years. Quote

zippy5 Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 wow wow wow. someone took miami giving some points. sheesh Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 These defensive personal foul penalties are ridiculous. Two in a row that never should have been called. Giving Miami an extra 30 yards per drive really hurts. Quote

Competitiveness doesn't show up the in the win column. At the end of the day we're looking at a 1-4 football team. Quote

We have had 6 personal foul penalties alone to Miami's 3 penalties for 19 yards. Quote
