Where is the best place to take a recruit to eat after a home game?

The Europe Gyro across the street from Lot 9 (on Exchange) is a good place to get a gyro and jojo's. Brand new. TV's. Nice beer selection.

If is isn't a recruiting violationsmiley-vault-signs-009.gif, stop by our post-game tailgate in the shadows of the scoreboard. Should be a fun victory celebration, with a little food and beers.

Luigi's on the outskirts of downtown is sort of a local "must eat" place. But no Saturday afternoon football feel. Maybe you can eat there after he commits? :D

Welcome to UA! Hope you have a great visit.

I guess the first question to the OP would be is this an official visit? If so - then those guidelines absolutely apply. If the player is not being recruited by the school (yet) - then they don't apply. A lot of families will come and visit schools to see if they like the area, people, etc. before they are even being recruited... Just trying to clarify the player's standing..

Sorry should have clarified myself. My son Jefferson Lee who is a potential kicking recruit is coming to the game this weekend. It will be me, his mom and him that is coming to the game. We would just like to find a place where we can meet fans and get a feel for the zips life. I know some college towns have places where people gather to watch the game or everyone goes to eat at after the game. We are from Virginia and want to see how the fans support their team. SO this is a unofficial visit paid for by dear old mom and dad.

Jefferson Lee from Virginia? Who'd a thunk it?

I stick with my offer of a post-game meet-n-greet with some good fans in Lot 9 underneath the scoreboard. Afterwards, BW-3's or the Gyro shop (immediately next to each other, in the shadows of InfoCision) are a half sand wedge distance from Lot 9 and probaby your best bet for any sort of college game day environment.

Keep in mind we're coming off a stretch where we've won 6 out of 37 games, so football game days are, volume-wise, a work in progress. And Zips Fever still has a few degrees to go before calling any doctors. But things are looking up!

Lot 9, EuroGyro (try the pizza, it's amazing), or just take a walk through campus. There will be plenty going on.

And of course the fact that the campus/stadium is right downtown - is fantastic... Don't know if there's a concert, or festival etc. going on this weekend -- as there are almost every weekend - but it is a vibrant/"cool" downtown area. There may be soccer going on also (women's game I think Saturday evening? Men's Sunday?)..

As a poster above said -- we are four games into a "new era" - but I'm sure you will be blown away by the facilities, the friendliness of the people - and the excitement of the fans that are there. And as much as it pains me to admit -- the school that I attended - "the Miami down south" - probably had fewer people in their stadium 2 weeks ago than a 5 year old t-ball game (and that's with 5 national championships -- inexcusable...). But I digress! Glad that you're making the trip to see the Zips beat Miami (OH) - and start our run in the MAC :champs:

Women's soccer has a game tonight vs Northern Illinois, in which they're trying to break the MAC attendance record of 2,800 for women's soccer. Then, they also have a home game sunday vs Toledo...
