Elton's view means nothing...Akron is and was better than OU last year and now. Akron is a powerhouse!!!

OU has to prove they can win with a new coach before I'm ready to "predict" their success.

There is a small chance they just don't click under the new system.

At the very least, Zip fans know what they are going to get year in and year out with KD.

We're one weird non-tipped free throw away from being winners of 2 of the last 3 against OU, along with MAC regular season and conference champs. Back to back tourney appearances.

OU is very good, we are too. There isn't much separation between them, which makes me wonder where he heard many people believe OU will run the table in the MAC.

Elton definitely has a different view of the world than his peers. Indiana's Cody Zeller was a near-unanimous selection on the AP pre-season All America team, falling just one vote shy. Of the 65 sports writers voting on the team, 64 voted for Zeller. Only Elton did not. He explains why here.

Since Elton picked the Zips to win it all last season, maybe there is some type of curse involved. OU is doomed.

So I was right, he didn't vote for him, so he could draw more attention to himself with another article.

EA does pick Doug McDermott. Should be a great game when the Zips go to Omaha in December. Big scorer vs the best MAC defensive team. The Zips will need a huge win here to make my undefeated December prediction come true.

I'm hoping he meant run the able as in [being picked to] win the regular season and tourny. Even the Elite 8 Can't team didn't go undefeated. Wonder if any team ever has. (I'm too lazy to look it up)
