MDZip
They just interviewed Bowden on his way in for halftime and he stated that was the worst half of football he's seen since he's been here. He was pissed. Wouldn't want to be in that locker room at halftime. And for a small crowd, the booing was really audible. Wow.
johnnyzip84
The most pathetic half of Zip football in 15 years!!!!
MaxZIP
Fire Bowden. Goal not met. Talk no action.
MDZip
The band just played the 1812 overture as a salute to veterans. That also, however, was used as the theme music for "The Bad News Bears". Coincidence it was used today? And I seriously hope you're kidding about Bowden, maybe we can somehow fire Ianello again? pattydark
I think Terry Bowden found Rob Ianello's playbook in his pants.

LZIp
what a joke of a performance today. Props to the defense though. Forced some turnovers for once and played in their territory basically all day.
Dave in Green
Left a Zips football game at halftime for the first time ever. UMass is a really bad team. Today made their season. I can't even begin to describe my disappointment with the Zips' performance. Maybe things will get a little better next season. Over and out. Zipfaced
All things considered a really embarrassing weekend to be a Zip. After today, How long until the Zips get into the Big East? If they can't get past the worst team in the MAC and not even win a game vs an FBS opponent this year. How are we gonna play in a real conference. I don't care how good the bball team is. MAJOR improvements are needed on the gridiron in order to move up in the world. Until that happens that nice, new stadium will remain barren. Also on a side note, having a rowdy get kicked out during a football game featuring 2 teams with only 1 win between them was a real classy move. Making the University proud
Ham
PATHETIC!!! Its time to give Pohl a shot. I put a lot of this loss on 13. But there is plenty of blame to go around; so many stupid mistakes! Even if they had taken it to overtime and won, it would have been hard to be happy. ZipGrad93
All things considered a really embarrassing weekend to be a Zip. Amen. New year, new coach, bunch of new players, and still the absolute worst team in the FBS. Improved a little, and certainly more entertaining at times, but still the absolute worst in all off FBS football.
Blue & Gold
I've noticed that NewZipsFan has been M.I.A. for about a month now. Any unidentified bodies beneath the High Level Bridge? NewZipsFan is quickly learning what it's like being a Zip. Hang in there fellas. One day...
MaxZIP
Weekends like this are tough to take. We are where we left off last year in terms of wins. what will happen next year? huge ????? all over. I just hope Bowden ball hype is put in perspective. I hate to say it but Dalton can throw for 3,000 yards but wins are all that matter. What good is he next year?
ZZZips
All things considered a really embarrassing weekend to be a Zip. "ALL" things.....The WBB team gets off to a good start (obviously against an inferior opponent) but at least a positive move for the Kest crew. MSOC win in the semi-final round and play Sunday afternoon for the MAC championship. Volleyball sweeps the season series with the team from Portage County. Our football teams is still the weakest link but I am not embarrassed about being a Zip Fan this weekend!
Spin
Good discussions on playing a tough schedule. Here is my opinion. We should play every team in the MAC East every year. That's why you have divisions...In order to find the best team in a single group of teams that will compete for a championship against a team from the same conference, but in another division. It streamlines the process. If the division is tough, so be it. If it isn't, so be it. I don't know why the MAC doesn't have every team in the division play each other every year. Doing so allows teams to develop programs designed to win their division and then take their chances in the MAC Championship. Really good NFL teams design their teams around winning their division first, maximizing out of division games, getting into the playoffs and then seeing where the chips fall at that point. The MAC should do the same. Because they wanted to give Ohio, Toledo, and NIU cake schedules this year. Did I say that out loud?
