Did they have a reporter at the OC presser yesterday?

All this hype has been great for the program and the University, and I am thrilled for it. Would it kill the staff to feed us just a little of what to expect from this group of players? Where is Welker?

Surprise in my mail today! I bought one season GA ticket for $75. I got those tickets electronically last week. In the mail today I got parking passes for Lot 9 or 10. No call to me yet.

Has AD announced any actual season ticket sales?

People. Enjoy the moment! You act like we can't ever have anything nice. I really hope these guys can double down and come up with a great game day experience. Why wait for home coming? Advertise a great pregame tailgate party. Is it too late to get someone like Goodyear or Leaf Filter to sponsor a lot. Get the band involved visiting each lot. Set up our own "game day" stage. There must be a least a couple of the "celebrity" wood be OC's that we could bring to town. Keep thinking outside the box!

Players will always tell you that they are extra motivated when we play a P4. When the spotlight is on the game, players are motivated. How much excitement do you feel coming from the players when we play on a rainy Tuesday night in front of friends and family?

Is it too late to let the winner "choose" a celeb helper? The right helper could really push this over the edge!

You have to wonder how Robert Morris is taking all this in. They have all kind of incentive to blow this up in our face. If I were Joe, I would challenge everyone(staff and players) to come up with the craziest play to start the drive. TD or flop, a crazy play would be on every show's highlight real. You just can't buy this kind of pub! Wake is probably wondering what kind of circus is coming to town for their opener. Could we really surprise them? Motivation is a funny thing. Can you imagine what this is doing to practice right now? When you have the football world looking at you positively, you will have a little extra "giddy up" in every drill, every play every day. In the season thread, I very optimistically predicted 7 wins for the season. This could make the whole season something special. GO ZIPS!!

Pretty soon, Sports Center will want be there for this. What else are they going to talk about on opening weekend? I can at least see a live interview in front of the Heisman statue.

I think Poof the Magic Dragon could be the real deal. UNLV playing a long way from home will take a 1--2 Zip team too lightly. Zips win. There really isn't much separation in the MAC. With 5 conference wins, Zips finish 7-5. In the MAC, injuries play a big role. No body is flush with depth. We all play a tough OOC schedule. Those early conference losses Cat predicts could become very competitive. Of course, those injuries could sting the Zips, but I'm still going with 7 wins!

@mrelegazna I'm kinda like you except I visit here most days. For me, it's like reading the funnies. It's nice learning about people coming and going, but that's about it.

My take home: After watching two interviews and Evan's play this season, Gross, Evan needs to be a GA for next year!!! Even if has a chance in Europe, don't let him get away! Evan will help us attract and mold the type of men we want to represent the Zips. DON'T LET HIM SLIP AWAY! I'm to far away; or I would be there for senior night.

Miami pulled today's victory out of their butt with a desperation contested 3 to tie The Buffs with 1/2 second in regulation. I switched back to Akron/Western skipping the OT. The Buffs will test us.

Over 4000 in the portal? 30+/ team? nearly 40% of the roster? That's hard to believe. I know some teams loose more than others, but if this is true D1 football is in a real bad place.

Furman went up 3-1 in 85' right when l tuned in to that match. They must have scored just before that. Hofstra tied it with 2 goals in a minute. I had to leave them tied after both OT's to tune in to the Zips match. Furman won on PK's. I was thinking of those 2 goals as the clock ran down in Akron.

I think this group of Zips will show some grit and bounce back big. Zips 45 BG 27

Now that Kent has a pulse, this will be a tough game. I've lost all hope that Finley will complete 65%, but at least I hope for no stupid mistakes. I think the D will continue to shine, and the O will score just enough. Zips 24 -- Flashes 17

Of course, we will get homered by the BIG ref's, but I think we have enough depth to keep the pace fast. I'm no BB guru, but from what I've seen, I think we will be a match up problem for them as they are for us. Young in particular sticks to his man like glue. The whole D has been great. I missed that comment, but I didn't miss the A flag flying when I approached the stadium. It was great to be welcomed by the large Budler contingent.

I checked out Creighton's presser. They are focused on gaining some revenge tonight. Weather is great right now; should be no factor for the match. My wife and I are making the 2 hour drive to Omaha; hope to see a few other Zips there.
