RootforRoo44 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Tough loss tonight. BGSU didn't mess around. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Continuing my assaut on Lady Zips' hoops - I saw in the PD that the Zips recently beat BGSU, cutting the all-time series deficit to 47-3. THAT'S amazing. And the extra point splits the uprights...48-3. Quote

GoZips Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 After today's win at Cant and BG's loss at Miami the Lady Zips have sole possession of first place in the MAC East. Akron is 9-4; while both BG and Miami are 8-5 and share second place. There are three regular season games to play. Fortunately for the Lady Zips they play Miami at home. Akron won the game played in Oxford. Its a chance to have their first ever 20+ win season and a first round bye. Go Lady Zips ... !!!! Quote

Hilltopper Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Yesterday was the first time ever that the Lady Zips beat Can't at the MAAC. Also the first time ever to sweep the flashes for the regular season. Quote
ZippyRulz Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Whodathunkit? After the last coach...or the last five...six... I'm thinking Coach K. is going to be "upwardly mobile" in the near future. Quote
mes102 Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Posted March 3, 2013 Akron clinched at least a share of the MAC East title with a 71-65 win over Miami(OH) today. With 3:30 to go in the game, the Lady Zips were down 63-58, and finished the game on a 13-2 run. They can clinch the outright MAC East title with a win...AT BUFFALO...Good luck Lady Zips!!!! With a win at Buffalo wednesday, will give the Zips a bye to the quarterfinals as well(potentially a chance at a bye to the semifinals still). I will post the seeding scenario later tonight on this topic. Quote
mes102 Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Posted March 3, 2013 If tournament began today: #1 Toledo 14-1 #2 Ball State 12-3 #3 Central Michigan 11-4 #4 Akron 11-4 #5 Bowling Green 10-5 #6 Miami(OH) 9-6 #7 Buffalo 8-7 #8 Eastern Michigan 6-9 #9 Western Michigan 5-10 #10 Northern Illinois 2-13 #11 Can't State 1-14 #12 Ohio 1-14 Akron can get as low as the 5 seed, and as high as a 2 seed still. Here's the last slate of regular season games: Northern Illinois at Western Michigan Central Michigan at Eastern Michigan Ball State at Toledo Akron at Buffalo Bowling Green at Can't State Miami(OH) at Ohio Scenarios with a win at Buffalo wednesday: 2nd seed secnario: EMU defeats CMU, Toledo defeats Ball State 3rd seed scenario: Toledo defeats Ball State, CMU defeats EMU Quote
plowerman78 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 they clinched a top 4 seed today, no lower then a 4 as high as a 2 Quote
mes102 Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Posted March 3, 2013 they clinched a top 4 seed today, no lower then a 4 as high as a 2 Actually, if we lose to Buffalo, CMU loses to EMU, and Bowling Green defeats Can't State, it would be a 3 way tie for seeds 3-5. Bowling Green would have a 2-1 record against CMU/Akron, CMU 1-1 against BGSU/CMU, and Akron 1-2 against CMU/BGSU. So Akron would be 5th seed with that. At least that's how I thought the seeding would work... Quote
plowerman78 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 from my understanding its record vs your division, who knows lol lets just beat UB on Wednesday Quote
ZachTheZip Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Can't worry about seeding. Just win Tuesday. Also, I believe that the win today gives them 20 wins. A 20-win season is quite an accomplishment. Quote
